| BH 92-95 (11/2020): ( from a 2-ha parcel of very old vines - Bessin is not exactly sure how old they are but he claims they are the Domaine's oldest vines; 20% of the blend was vinified in oak.) Here the wood treatment is more discreet and easily allows the sea breeze, quinine and citrus-inflected aromas to be appreciated. There is once again very good size, weight and volume to the intense, mineral-driven and overtly powerful flavors that already possess excellent complexity on the superbly long and well-balanced finale. This too is clearly built-to-age and a wine that's going to need at least some. In short, this is terrific and well worth searching out provided you have the discipline to cellar it for at least a few years. Drink 2029+. Don't miss! |

BH 93 (6/2024): (a monopole measuring .62 ha that is actually part of Les Cras.) An all but imperceptible application of wood can be detected on the more floral-suffused aromas of acacia, lilac and citrus confit nose. The vibrant and super-sleek middleweight flavors possess a sophisticated mouthfeel and excellent concentration before concluding in a stony, bitter lemon-inflected and beautifully persistent finish. This doesn't have the sheer size and weight of the Goutte d'Or but it is noticeably finer. Drink 2030+. Outstanding!
VM 93-95 (1/2024): The 2022 Meursault Clos Richemont 1er Cru is a dense, opulent white built on texture more than anything else. It is one of the most overt wines in the Boillot range. Orange jam, spice, vanillin, lemon confit and baked apple tart infuse the 2022 with tons of textural intensity. This is such a distinctive wine. Neal Martin. |

BH 93 (1/2023): A slightly riper though almost as elegant nose combines notes of petrol and citrus with those of acacia, mineral reduction and crushed fennel. There is more volume and richness to the less prominently stony flavors that possess a highly seductive mouthfeel, all wrapped in a superbly long finish. This isn't quite as refined as the Genevrières but it's even more complex. I would observe that while the two wines are qualitative equals, they offer two very different expressions. (Drink starting 2029).
JM 93-95 (10/2022): The terroir is made up of small stones in red soil, quite similar to Caillerets. Clean pretty pale primrose, with a brilliant tensile concentration through the middle, not very Meursault this terroir but extremely persistent and makes Genevrières alongside seem a bit massive. Very impressive in its linear style. Drink from 2026-2032. |

BH 90 (6/2024): (from 1 ha of evenly mixed vines in Houlières, Charmes, La Rue aux Vaches, Rue Rousseau and Enseignères.) This is aromatically elegant and expressive with its cool and airy array of pretty floral, lemon lime and spice aromas. Once again there is a gorgeous mid-palate texture to the medium weight flavors that are concentrated but attractively vibrant, all wrapped in a complex, dry and sneaky long finish. This is an excellent Puligny villages and worth checking out. Drink 2029+. Outstanding!
VM 88-90 (1/2024): The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet is a blend of five domaine parcels spread across the village. A wine of reserve, the Puligny-Montrachet offers a compelling mix of textural richness and vibrancy. Lemon confit, white flowers and light tropical accents open nicely. BH 90 (6/2025): An exuberantly floral-suffused nose speaks of the essence of pear, apple and just sliced lemon. This mouthfeel of the middle weight flavors is really quite sleek with fine delineation and a subtle minerality adding a sense of lift to the youthfully austere finale. This lovely and balanced effort could use better depth so plan on at least a few years of bottle aging. (Drink starting 2029).
JM 89-91 (10/2024): From Charmes, Houlières, Enseignères, Rue Rousseau and Rue aux Vaches. 20% new wood. Mid lemon yellow. Reductive. Starts discreetly, then builds in intensity, as always more linear than the Meursault, with a fair length of finish. Drink from 2028-2032.
VM 87-89 (2/2025): Boillot’s 2023 Puligny-Montrachet is a fairly straightforward, easygoing wine. Floral top notes, spice and a touch of tropical fruit open nicely. All this needs is a bit more depth in the mid-palate, something that seems missing here but is evident in many other wines, including the village Meursault. (Drink between 2025-2029). WA 94+ (10/2015): Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Mouchère has a captivating, mineral-driven, sea-spray-tinged bouquet that is complex and compelling. The palate is very well balanced with finely tuned acidity, harmonious and poised, though a Puligny-Montrachet that is only just beginning to show what it can do. Cellar this for four to six years and see what comes out the other side, as it could merit an even higher evaluation then.
VM 94 (9/2014): Outstanding lift to the aromas of lime and crushed stone. Silky, smooth and magically light on its feet, displaying Outstanding energy and cut to its lemon, lime and spicy oak flavors. This tastes like it's from another vintage than the Combettes. The bracing, extremely long finish hints at huge dry extract without coming across as phenolic or dry. The crop level here was just 25 hectoliters per hectare, according to Boillot.
BH 93 (6/2014): (from 60+ year old vines and the vineyard is a whopping 4 ha monopole within Perrières.) The nose is markedly reduced and I would strongly suggest decanting this if you're tempted to try a bottle young. The intensely mineral-driven middle weight plus flavors possess Outstanding mid-palate concentration with an abundance of palate coating dry extract, all wrapped in a wonderfully vibrant and highly persistent finish. I very much like the balance as this is a big yet stylish effort that should amply repay medium-term cellaring. Drink 2019+. |

BH 96 (6/2018): ( from 60+ year old vines and the vineyard is a whopping 4 ha monopole within Perrières.) A highly restrained nose requires considerable swirling to liberate the beautifully well-layered aromas of mineral reduction, white rose, spice, citrus and a wisp of exotic tea. Like the Pucelles there is excellent richness and detail and much more minerality-suffusing the almost painfully intense finale that is breathtaking in its persistence. This is a gem of a Puligny 1er and in 2016 is a lovely blend of power and finesse. In sum, this is a knockout. Drink 2028+. Don't miss! Outstanding!
VM 93-95 (9/2017): (13.3% alcohol with 4.5 grams per liter acidity; cropped at 38 hectoliters per hectare, from vines up to 80 years of age): Bright light-medium yellow. Utterly pure scents of stone fruits, apricot, nuts and honeysuckle. Rich, deep, silky and moderately saline but also powerful and backward, displaying terrific precision and purity in the mouth. A superb, classic Clos de la Mouchère: utterly plush and seamless without being heavy or over the top. WA 94 (1/2020): Boillot's 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles reveals aromas of orange oil, white flowers and peaches, complemented by classy top notes of nutmeg and warm bread. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and vibrant, with quite a tensile, tight-knit core for this typically enveloping premier cru. But looking back through my notes, that often seems to be the case chez Boillot.
BH 92 (6/2020): Here too there is a touch of residual SO2 that may require decanting so that the elegant aromas of honeysuckle, acacia, lilac and poached pear aromas can be appreciated. There is a bit more volume if not quite the same minerality and precision to the beautifully textured flavors that are quite seductive before concluding in a delicious if mildly sweet and warm finish. This is lovely but doesn't possess the class and distinction of the Perrières or Clos de la Mouchère. Drink 2026+. Outstanding! |

There is an appealing succulence to the delicious, intense and strikingly fine medium-bodied flavors and while there is certainly a sense of focused power present on the long, clean and refined finish, this is essentially a Bienvenues of finesse. WA 94 (1/2016): The 2014 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a clean, well defined bouquet with hints of almond and white chocolate, although I was seeking a little more personality to come through. The palate shows the nose how it's done and it is probably more indicative: spice, ginger, almond, citrus fruit and a touch of white peach. This is very complex and the more you remain in its presence, the more it wins you over. Cellar this for 4-5 years and you should have a very fine Corton Charlemagne on your hands, but it covets its secrets for now. |

JM 95 (5/2022): Pale lemon and lime colour. A vigorous nose with a stony reduction, that allows the fruit to flourish alongside. Some citrus, then a really intense weight of fruit, on the cusp of white and yellow. Very pure, very linear, plenty of energy. Excellent texture on the palate.
VM 93 (11/2022): The 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a reductive nose but there is some fine fruit here, touches of orange pith, honeysuckle and melted candle wax. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a hint of wood to be subsumed on the entry, impressive depth with a slightly toasty finish. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting. (Drink between 2024-2035.) Neal Martin.
BH 93 (9/2023): A ripe yet attractively fresh, cool, pure and elegant nose combines notes of various white fleshed fruit scents that in particular include Granny Smith and pear, along with hints of citrus and wet stone. There is excellent intensity as well as fine richness to the detailed and mineral-driven flavors where the minerality adds a sense of lift to the complex and sneaky long finale. While indisputably young, it's not so backward that it couldn't be approached now even though a few more years of keeping should help to add better depth. (Drink starting 2026.) |

BH 93-96 (1/2023): Firm reduction renders the nose tough to evaluate though there is both fine freshness and verve to the impressively dense yet well detailed larger-bodied flavors that terminate in a clean, dry and strikingly long finish that is already displaying outstanding depth. This is potentially a knockout as it is seriously good though I underscore that at least moderate patience will be necessary. (Drink starting 2033).
WA 93-95 (1/2023): Cropped at a mere eight hectoliters per hectare after being hit by the April frosts and then challenged by severe disease pressure, the 2021 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has nevertheless turned out beautifully, offering up aromas of tangerine oil, crisp stone fruit, clear honey, white flowers and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, with terrific depth at the core, tangy acids and a precise, saline finish, it will only gain with further élevage. |

VM 95-97 (12/2021): The 2020 Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte Grand Cru, which was undergoing its élevage in foudres, has a very sophisticated bouquet with mineral-rich citrus fruit, hints of hazelnut and lanolin. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity. There is a little more density and concentration compared to the regular Chevalier-Montrachet and though there is a patina of oak to be subsumed, this will surely age with style. Excellent. WA 95-97 (1/2022): The 2020 Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte Grand Cru is brilliant, bursting with aromas of orange oil, nutmeg, crisp orchard fruit, white flowers and peach. Full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, it's layered and multidimensional, with striking depth and intensity, concluding with a long, resonant finish. It's a brilliant wine in the making. |

WA 88 (1/2025): Carillon's 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Village offers up aromas of sweet orchard fruit, ripe peaches and bread dough, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and generous palate.
VM 87 (1/2025): The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Village, bottled in March, is very minimalist on the nose. It doesn't deliver the fruit you would think the season would bestow. The palate is balanced with light malic notes. It's a little soft around the edges and this needs more tension on the finish. This is par for the course. (Drink between 2024-2029). Neal Martin. |

BH 97 (11/2021): (with thanks to Dr. Michael Chen and Hal Borthwick). Cool, reserved and incredibly pure green apple, citrus, floral and white pear notes blend seamlessly into concentrated mineral-driven flavors that deliver the hallmark delineation, power and breathtaking persistence of a classically styled Corton-Charlemagne where the only possible reproach is a hint of warmth. This monument is extremely impressive and destined for a long life, indeed it has only just entered the front end of its prime drinkability. Consistent notes, indeed I've never had a poor bottle; note that my scores have ranged from 95 to 97 points.
WA 94-95 (12/2001): The toasted oak-scented 2000 Corton-Charlemagne has the austerity found in many of this vineyard's wines in the 2000 vintage. However, it is vinous, rich, and broad. Pure flavors of minerals, toast, and spices can be found in its highly delineated, profound offering. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2015.
VM 94+ (10/2002): Oak-influenced aromas of grilled nuts, vanilla and nutmeg. Dense and voluptuous; as ripe as the Perrieres but less expressive today despite its extraordinary texture. Solid and chewy wine with an almost tannic finish. More explosive today on the aftertaste than it is in the middle palate. This may well prove to be a more complete wine than the 2001 example. |

VM 98 (9/2016): Readers lucky enough to own the 2009 Corton-Charlemagne will have a hard time keeping their hands off this beauty. The warm vintage has softened some of the contours, resulting in a Charlemagne that is surprisingly accessible at a young age. All the Coche signatures are present, the edges are a bit rounded, which results in a wine of frankly extra-terrestrial beauty. Smoke, slate and crushed rocks are some of the notes that lend nuance to the expressive, silky fruit. The 2009 somehow manages to be radiant and crystalline. This is about as great as wine gets. BH 96 (6/2012): Here the nose resembles that of the Genevrières with its mildly exotic fruit aromas that combine with rose petal, citrus, wet stone and apple scents. This is a big wine, indeed the word massive does not exaggerate the palate impact of the almost breathtakingly concentrated and powerful flavors that, despite all of the size, weight and dry extract, avoid any trace of heaviness on the extraordinarily long finish that is also borderline painfully intense. There is a very mild touch of warmth but this is a minor nit in what is a genuinely remarkable effort that should age gracefully for years. (Drink starting 2021).
WA 96 (4/2018): The 2009 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is fabulous, soaring from the glass with a youthful bouquet of preserved citrus, vanilla pod, pastry cream, subtle white truffle and toasted sesame. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and layered, with a textural attack, deep core, excellent concentration and succulent acids. The length on the finish is extraordinary. While this is the highest in alcohol of the vintages in this tasting (2009-1999), it's better integrated than in the 2006 or 2003 vintages, both of which seem warmer—which Jean-François Coche suggests is because wine made from clean grapes hides its alcohol better than wine made from botrytized grapes. Raphaël Coche adds that 2009 was a year defined by "sun and juice," as vines set a large crop and ripened it in balmy conditions without suffering from any stress. |

BH 96 (3/2023): A discreet if perceptible application of wood sets off still youthful and wonderfully fresh elegant, ripe and beautifully layered and aromas of mandarin orange, peach, white flowers, apple, anise and mineral reduction. There is excellent concentration, especially for the vintage, to the broad-shouldered and moderately powerful flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel on the mid-palate yet the hugely long and pungently stony finish. The '11 Coche CC is stunningly good and still clearly on the way up though not so much so that it couldn't be enjoyed now if given 30 minutes or so of air. In sum, this is one of the wines of the 2011 vintage.
VM 96 (12/2020): Two vintages of Coche Dury’s Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru follow. Neither 2011 nor 2003 is especially highly regarded, but it is precisely vintages like these that can be so instructive because they tell us so much about what talented growers can achieve in challenging years. The 2011 Charlemagne needs several hours of air to open, which is not surprising, as it has always been a stubborn wine. I remember that Jean-François Coche hesitated to show the Charlemagne when I stopped by to taste the bottled 2011s, as he felt the long malos had resulted in a wine that needs more time in bottle to fully come together. Now, at nearly age ten, the 2011 remains quite vibrant and nervy, with striking citrus, floral and mineral notes laced into a racy frame. All it needs is a bit more flesh, but it’s the sort of flesh that develops with more time in bottle. Antonio Galloni. |

This isn't quite as structured as the Chevalier, but it too is promising. Drink 2028+. |

WA 94 (8/2019): A bottling that regularly excels chez Dauvissat, the 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Séchet opens in the glass with delicate aromas of citrus peel, grapefruit, crisp green apples and white flowers, with only subtle hints of the oyster shell to come. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with a deep and tight-knit core, striking tension and a searingly mineral finish. Séchet—where Dauvissat owns a 0.8-hectare parcel—is located in the Vaillons Valley, but its windier situation and soils richer in active limestone mean it's typically much chalkier and more tensile than the other climats that make up Vaillons.
VM 92 (1/2020): The 2017 Chablis Sechet 1er Cru is soft and open-knit, not to mention incredibly inviting. Dried pear, almond, spice and savory notes all grace this lovely, absolutely charming Chablis. Pretty floral overtones add to its considerable allure. This is one of the wines in this range that will drink best with minimal cellaring. (Drink between 2020-2032). Antonio Galloni.
BH 91 (10/2019): An impressively broad-ranging nose offers up notes of mineral reduction, wet chalk, sea breeze, citrus and dried apple. There is good richness yet also good refinement to the generously proportioned flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the beautifully persistent finish. This too is very good and should age effortlessly. (Drink starting 2027). |

Conveys a virtually solid impression of extract in the mouth, with its sexy sweetness more than buffered by saline crushed-rock minerality, lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, vanilla, white pepper and soft spices. With its extraordinarily fine-grained texture, complex soil tones and palate-staining finish, this essence of minerality is one of my early candidates for wine of the vintage in 2014. Although it should enjoy a long and glorious evolution in bottle, it's not particularly austere today. Stephen Tanzer.
BH 95 (10/2016): (from 7 different parcels of 50+ year old vines that total 1.7 ha.) It would be all but impossible to mistake this for something other than Chablis as the pungent aromas of oyster shell, iodine and ocean shore elements immediately announce its origins. There is superb intensity to the powerful and concentrated flavors that display so much minerality that the palate impression is akin to licking rocks. Yet for all of the intensity and power this remains impeccably well-balanced on the hugely long and saline-infused finale. This too is a complete knock-out and should age effortlessly. Drink 2026+. |

WA 92-94 (8/2017): The 2016 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros has a very attractive bouquet in the making: apple blossom, linden, wet limestone and touches of pear emerging from the glass, all with fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity. It is taut and linear but there is fine depth here and a touch of salinity toward the finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent.
VM 92-94 (8/2017): Pale green-tinged yellow. Wonderfully expressive, pungent, classic Kimmeridgian nose offers scents of lime, grilled almond and iodiney minerality. Round, plush and seamless on the palate, with its juicy citrus fruit and ginger flavors lifted by minerality. This silky, sedate, rich wine has no corners and seems almost too easy and expressive today for grand cru. But it also has the stuffing and balance to age, and a finishing element of brown spices provides lift. Stephen Tanzer.
BH 91-94 (10/2017): A clearly ripe and smoky nose features notes of green fruit that possesses background nuances of iodine and seashell along with what I can only describe as fishing boat aromas. There is excellent mid-palate concentration to the big, very rich and concentrated flavors that display a round and suave mouth feel, all wrapped in a powerful and driving finish. This isn't elegant, indeed it's almost rustic but there is an impressive level of underlying material. (Drink starting 2023). |

JM 93-95 (6/2021): Lighter lemon yellow, the bouquet offering a light touch of menthol and especially anis. Deeper generous soil here but they think they have learnt to get the best out of it. Certainly a grand cru wealth of fruit, the acidity keeps the balance very nicely, a generous warm overcoat and good length. Nice wine!
BH 92-94 (10/2021): This is restrained to the point of being all but aromatically mute though aggressive swirling eventually coaxes notes of green fruit, citrus peel and oyster shell nuances to reveal themselves. There is both excellent volume and concentration to the big-bodied, powerful and imposing flavors that are focused, structured and youthfully austere. This is very much a work in progress, and I would advise allowing this at least 5 years of cellaring and it should easily reward a decade or more.
VM 92-94 (10/2021): The 2020 Chablis Bougros Grand Cru comes from six hectares of vines, southwest- and south-facing, forming the two different cuvées. The bouquet unfolds to offer lovely yellow fruit and oyster leaf aromas, well defined and quite generous. The palate is taut and crisp with fine acidity and moderate depth, but very pretty and composed toward the saline finish. WA 96 (7/2022): In a sense, the 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Côte Bouguerots offers a resumé of several of Fèvre's grand cru bottlings, uniting the taut musculature of Valmur and the ethereal, mineral profile of Les Preuses, with some of the perfumed sensuality of Vaudésir and fleshy texture of Bougros. The result is certainly a very compelling wine, exhibiting aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, white flowers, freshly baked bread, oyster jus and white peach, followed by a full-bodied, taut and layered palate that's seamless and complete, concluding with a pungently mineral finish. It's worth a special effort to seek out, though a decade's patience is warmly advised.
BH 96 (9/2022): A deft application of wood lurks in the background of the aromas cool citrus, apple, mineral reduction and ocean breeze wisps. There is an almost painful intensity to the powerful but sleek and defined medium weight plus flavors that brim with minerality on the clean, very dry and hugely long finish. This is also potentially brilliant and well-worth considering. (Drink starting 2032).
VM 93 (7/2024): The 2020 Chablis Bougros Côte Bouguerots Grand Cru has a crushed stone scented bouquet. A peppermint trace comes through with aeration. The nose is controlled and citrus-fresh, and I admire the energy. The palate is poised and concentrated, and a silver thread of acidity keeps this Grand Cru tensile and focused. Bright and lightly spiced towards the finish, this fans out with style. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (Drink between 2025-2044). Neal Martin. |

WA 94 (7/2020): Pretty and demonstrative, among Fèvre's grand cru bottlings, the 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is second only to the Bougros in expressiveness. Bursting with aromas of pear, white flowers, orange oil and citrus blossom, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a bright core of fruit and a precise, mineral finish.
BH 93 (10/2020): An exuberantly fresh and cool and mildly exotic nose offers up unmistakable Chablis character that includes sea breeze, iodine and oyster shell along with an abundance of citrus elements. There is equally good freshness and verve to the utterly delicious, crisp and delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess fine persistence and a lovely minerality on the notably dry but not austere finale. This almost delicate effort isn't especially dense but it's awfully pretty. (Drink starting 2028).
VM 93 (9/2020): The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has an open, slightly menthol-tinged bouquet that is quite seductive; subtle orange pith and peachy aromas develop with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with more overt tropical notes compared to the more sophisticated Bougros, but you cannot fail to enjoy the ginger and lemongrass tang on the finish. Full-bodied, fleshy and textural, it's lively and long, its rich core of fruit underpinned by ripe acids. Broad-shouldered and expressive, this will drink well sooner than the tighter-knit 2017.
BH 93 (6/2020): This is at once both fresher and more elegant with its floral suffused aromas of spiced pear, apple, spice and admirably discreet wood. There is good vibrancy if only average density to the sleek, refined and reasonably well-detailed medium weight flavors that display outstanding length on the very dry finale. This needs to develop better depth to achieve my rating but given the lovely balance and tightly wound finish, it has the potential to do so. |

JM 92 (3/2024): This is a substantial cuvée of 120,000 bottles, made in barrel except for the schist and clay components. Overall, 60% is in wood, of which 25% is new. The wood element is taken out of barrel in the summer, kept on lees, then all assembled after the harvest without lees, and bottled in December. Clear mid yellow. There is useful tension here along with the flesh of a fine Pouilly-Fuissé in a good vintage. Touch of vanilla from the wood, excellent length. Fine keeping potential. 13.5%
BH 90 (10/2024): A touch of phenolic character is present on the lightly wood nose of mineral reduction, acacia and essence of pear. The sleek, delicious and vibrant, if not super-dense, flavors are rich to the point of opulence while displaying fine power on the bitter lemon rind-inflected finale where the only reproach is a hint of warmth. This should drink well young but also drink well with a few years of bottle age. (Drink starting 2028).
VM 90 (8/2024): The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée is raised 60% in oak barrels and the rest in tank, bottled at the end of 2023. This cuvée includes some Premier Crus, including Combettes, which were not bottled separately this year. It has a winsome nose with mint-tinged citrus fruit that opens with gusto in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a fresh entry. It's spicy with stem ginger and lemongrass towards the lively finish. Maybe it is not the most refined Pouilly-Fuissé, but there is commendable energy in the context of the growing season. (Drink between 2025-2034). Neal Martin. |

VM 92 (1/2024): The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Blanc Les Perrières 1er Cru has a precise, slightly steelier and more defined nose than the Clos de Porrets Blanc: apple blossom and freshly tilled meadow aromas. The palate is well-balanced and elegant in style, with fine acidity and a sensual finish. It needs time to absorb the 25% new oak. A winsome Les Perrières. (Drink between 2023-2035). Neal Martin.
BH 89 (6/2024): A more complex nose features notes of citrus confit, green apple and a floral top note along with just enough wood to notice. There is excellent concentration to the sappy and very rich yet focused medium weight flavors that possess a plush mouthfeel, all wrapped in a chalky, youthfully austere and lightly stony finale where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. This well-made effort should repay 2 to 3 years of keeping. (Drink starting 2026). |

WA 86 (11/2024): Produced from the later press fractions of all the domaine's wines, which are higher in pH and lower in acidity, the 2022 Bourgogne Jeunes Vignes et Derniers Jus offers up leesy aromas of apple compote and sourdough bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and fat palate. In a sense, it represents the wine that was sacrificed so that the rest of the range can be exceptional. |

VM 90 (8/2024): The 2022 Mâcon-Pierreclos En Crazy comes from the first juices from the lower parts of En Crazy plus second press juices of the better parcels. Matured mostly in wood, 20% in concrete, this has a pretty and pure bouquet with white peaches and touches of nectarine and wet wool. The palate is taut and fresh, with a fine bead of acidity. The 2022 is saline towards the finish, so you are itching for the next sip. Recommended. (Drink between 2024-2033) Neal Martin.
WA 89 (11/2024): Open and expressive, the 2022 Mâcon-Pierreclos En Crazy bursts with aromas of peach, pineapple and mandarin, mingled with hints of toasted hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, charming and textural, it will drink well on release.
BH 86 (10/2024): Notes of exotic fruit, lemon zest and a background touch of reduction give way to bigger and richer flavors that also display an off taste that I can only describe as having a dish soap character. Again, it's hard to say whether a year or two of bottle aging would help but I doubt it. (Drink starting 2024). |
