JM 93-95 (6/2021): Lighter lemon yellow, the bouquet offering a light touch of menthol and especially anis. Deeper generous soil here but they think they have learnt to get the best out of it. Certainly a grand cru wealth of fruit, the acidity keeps the balance very nicely, a generous warm overcoat and good length. Nice wine!
BH 92-94 (10/2021): This is restrained to the point of being all but aromatically mute though aggressive swirling eventually coaxes notes of green fruit, citrus peel and oyster shell nuances to reveal themselves. There is both excellent volume and concentration to the big-bodied, powerful and imposing flavors that are focused, structured and youthfully austere. This is very much a work in progress, and I would advise allowing this at least 5 years of cellaring and it should easily reward a decade or more.

The bouquet unfolds to offer lovely yellow fruit and oyster leaf aromas, well defined and quite generous. The palate is taut and crisp with fine acidity and moderate depth, but very pretty and composed toward the saline finish. | BH 93-95 (11/2020): (from a 2.2 ha parcel at the bottom section of the vineyard; even so, the vineyard is so steep here that it must be worked entirely by hand as tractors would be dangerous to use.) This too offers a wonderfully broad range of classic Chablis elements that include mineral reduction, iodine, ocean breeze and quinine on the citrus-infused nose. The racy, detailed and beautifully textured and focused flavors deliver outstanding length on the balanced, saliva-inducing and sneaky long finish. This is also quite classy and if not quite as complete as the Preuses in 2019, it's close and with time in bottle, it may well catch its stablemate. Drink 2029+. Don't miss! |

| BH 93-95 (10/2023): This is the coolest and most restrained of this group of 2022s with its elegant aromas of prominent mineral reduction, lemon-lime, spice and oyster shell. There is almost painful intensity to the intensely stony and strikingly well-detailed larger-bodied yet still beautifully refined flavors that display huge length on the impeccably well-balanced finale. Like the Preuses, this is very classy and built to repay extended keeping. Drink 2032+. |

VM 94+ (8/2017): Pale, green-tinged yellow. Captivating but youthfully reticent scents and flavors of citrus peel, white pepper, fresh herbs, crushed stone and white flowers, plus a whiff of rhubarb. Quite broad and full but not at all heavy in the mouth. This wine doesn't have the acid edge of the Bougros Côte Bouguerots but is wonderfully silky and horizontal, coating every square millimeter of the palate--and it's hardly short of energy! Most impressive today on the superb dusty, mounting finish. This potentially outstanding wine still needs time to gain in complexity but it should evolve positively in bottle for many years. Production here was cut by the pre-harvest hailstorm, but if this fruit was picked earlier than originally forecasted, it does not seem to have suffered for it. Stephen Tanzer.
BH 93 (10/2017): ( from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope.) Once again there is just enough wood present to warrant mentioning on the strikingly fresh, cool and pure nose of mineral reduction, ripe pear, sea water and floral aromas. There is flat out remarkable power to the highly energetic flavors that also display ample amounts of dry extract that imparts a sappy texture to the intensely mineral-driven, explosive and hugely long finish that is unusually dry for the vintage. It's interesting as one can sense an elevated level of alcohol but surprisingly there is no associated finishing warmth to speak of. Drink 2023+. |

BH 95 (10/2019): (from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope.) Here too there is enough wood, even though subtle, to merit mentioning on the decidedly cool and reserved nose that offers up plenty of floral elements along with those of citrus, iodine and oyster shell. The lavishly rich, muscular and overtly powerful flavors possess the hallmark minerality that carries over to the dense, citrusy and bone dry finish. This beauty should age effortlessly and is class in a glass. Drink 2032+.
VM 94 (1/2020): The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru is dense and exotic, with tremendous volume and textural richness that develops with a bit of air. It should start to settle down with more time in bottle. Today, though, I am struck by the wine's sheer weight. Antonio Galloni. |

If Kimmeridgian could be distilled, it would likely smell exactly like the nose of the 2019 Les Clos with the additions of wet chalk, citrus zest and oyster shell. There is equally good delineation to the snappy, painfully intense and overtly stony large-bodied flavors that deliver superb length on the balanced finale. This elegant and classy effort is also built on a base of almost pungent minerality and a wine that is indisputably going to age effortlessly for years. Drink 2031+. Don't miss! |

WA 94 (7/2020): Pretty and demonstrative, among Fèvre's grand cru bottlings, the 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is second only to the Bougros in expressiveness. Bursting with aromas of pear, white flowers, orange oil and citrus blossom, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a bright core of fruit and a precise, mineral finish.
BH 93 (10/2020): An exuberantly fresh and cool and mildly exotic nose offers up unmistakable Chablis character that includes sea breeze, iodine and oyster shell along with an abundance of citrus elements. There is equally good freshness and verve to the utterly delicious, crisp and delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess fine persistence and a lovely minerality on the notably dry but not austere finale. This almost delicate effort isn't especially dense but it's awfully pretty. (Drink starting 2028).
VM 93 (9/2020): The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has an open, slightly menthol-tinged bouquet that is quite seductive; subtle orange pith and peachy aromas develop with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with more overt tropical notes compared to the more sophisticated Bougros, but you cannot fail to enjoy the ginger and lemongrass tang on the finish. A lovely Vaudésir that should age well over the next 10–12 years. (Drink between 2022-2038). Neal Martin. |

WA 94 (7/2022): Bursting from the glass with aromas of vine blossom, orange zest, crisp white peach and honeycomb, the 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a seamless, elegantly fleshy profile and lively balancing acids. As is often the case, it's one of the more demonstrative grand cru bottlings in the range, yet its track record for longevity is impressive.
BH 93 (9/2022): A discreet dollop of wood sets off the ever-so-mildly exotic aromas of white and yellow peach, passion fruit and subtle mineral reduction wisps. There is a positively gorgeous texture to the highly refined middleweight flavors that culminate in lightly stony, focused and sneaky long finish. This could use a bit more depth though overall, it is a classic Vaudésir of lace and grace that should generously reward a decade or so of cellaring. |

The understated, pure and borderline delicate flavors are at once supple yet beautifully detailed as well as almost aggressively mineral-driven on the superbly long finish.
