VM 94 (8/2021): The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchère 1er Cru has a light bouquet of undergrowth and wet pavement, a little subdued at first but finding its voice with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and there is some beautifully integrated oak here. Harmonious and poised with wonderful weight and precision toward the finish, where veins of white peach furnish the seductive aftertaste. Absolutely delicious. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. (Drink between 2023-2042). Neal Martin. BH 93 (7/2022): A touch of mineral reduction can be found on the markedly floral-inflected nose of white peach, spice and discreet wood nuances. There is first-rate volume to the caressing yet powerful flavors that possess excellent mid-palate density before concluding in an energetic and well-balanced finale. This isn't especially complex at present so I would suggest holding it for another 4 to 6 years first. Lovely. Tried twice since release with consistent notes. (Drink starting 2027). |

| BH 91-93 (6/2019): A softly exotic nose features notes of jasmine tea, clove, essence of pear and plenty of floral elements. There is terrific intensity to the even stonier medium weight flavors that possess a delicate mouth feel that contrasts with the focused and unusually powerful finish that isn't quite as structured but even so, this beauty is also going to require at least some patience. WA 94 (2/2020): The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Marquis de Laguiche is showing brilliantly from bottle, wafting from the glass with a lovely bouquet of orange oil, nutmeg, Anjou pear, white peach, honeycomb and wheat toast. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and succulent, with an elegantly textural attack, fine concentration at the core and racy underpinning acids. Harmonious and complete, this is routinely one of Drouhin's finest white wines, and that is true in 2017 also. VM 92 (8/2021): The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeots 1er Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) displays a light reduction on the nose, touches of clear honey, jasmine and lemon thyme developing with aeration. The pretty palate of white peach and passion fruit notes is a little sweeter and more candied than Olivier Leflaive's Abbaye de Morgeot tasted in the same flight, but maintains a fine bead of acidity with good salinity through to the finish. Very pretty and more-ish. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. (Drink between 2023-2040). Neal Martin. |

BH 95 (10/2019): (from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope.) Here too there is enough wood, even though subtle, to merit mentioning on the decidedly cool and reserved nose that offers up plenty of floral elements along with those of citrus, iodine and oyster shell. The lavishly rich, muscular and overtly powerful flavors possess the hallmark minerality that carries over to the dense, citrusy and bone dry finish. This beauty should age effortlessly and is class in a glass. Drink 2032+. VM 94 (1/2020): The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru is dense and exotic, with tremendous volume and textural richness that develops with a bit of air. It should start to settle down with more time in bottle. Today, though, I am struck by the wine's sheer weight. Antonio Galloni. |

WA 93+ (2/2020): A candidate for extended cellaring in Jadot's range this year is the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle (Domaine du Duc de Magenta), a beautifully incisive wine that meets the high expectations I formed when I tasted it from barrel a year ago. Opening in the glass with aromas of crisp Anjou pear, peach, fresh pastry and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and youthfully tight-knit, with fabulous structural tension and a racy spine of acidity. Bottled under Diam 30, this tensile but concentrated Morgeot will really begin to sing in six or seven years. BH 91 (6/2020): A notably restrained nose is quite floral-inflected with a touch of phenolic character (think olive and nut oil) to the ripe white orchard fruit and tangerine zest-infused aromas. There is good size, weight and muscle to the larger-scaled to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the powerful finale. This sleek effort is more elegant than usual, and I particularly like the persistence though there is perceptible warmth that gradually emerges. (Drink starting 2024). VM 90 (8/2021): The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 1er Cru has an intense nose, perhaps not quite as delineated as its peers; just a slight reduction suggests this will require 4–5 years in bottle. Coming back after 10 minutes, there are more tropical scents of pineapple and touches of passion fruit. The palate is well balanced with modest depth and fine acidity but does not quite have the charm or complexity of its peers. Spicy on the finish. I wonder if this is just beginning to close down, because it doesn't match the showing from barrel. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. (Drink between 2023-2038). Neal Martin. |

| BH 91-94 (6/2019): (from Les Pougets in Aloxe-Corton.) A classic nose of green apple, citrus peel, white fruit and wet stone introduces racy, ultra-intense and almost aggressively mineral-driven flavors that don't quite possess the sheer weight and power of the Montrachet on the still impressively complex and lingering finish. This too is quite firm and will need every bit of 12 to 15 years to reveal its full, and considerable, potential. Drink 2029+. |

VM 92+ (1/2020): The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru soars out of the glass with a whole range of high-toned, perfumed aromatics. Tropical overtones develop later, adding lovely shades of nuance. The Clos is understated and gracious through and through, as only wines from this site can be. Even so, I won't be surprised if this note turns out to be a bit conservative. The 2017 Clos has quite a bit of potential. (Drink between 2020-2030). Antonio Galloni. BH 92 (10/2019): Like the Vaudésir, there is enough wood lurking in the background to mention on the quinine, mineral reduction, white flower and citrus zest. The impressively intense big-bodied flavors exude both ample amount of citrus character and minerality while exhibiting fine length on the balanced, dry and very serious finish. (Drink starting 2027). |

BH 92 (6/2019): A deft if not invisible touch of wood sets off an expressive nose that consists primarily of citrus, resin and white orchard fruit aromas trimmed in hints of lychee and tangerine peel. Here too there is good vibrancy and an appealing freshness to the delicious, complex and well-detailed finale that displays just a touch of warmth. I very much like the depth and this should prove to be excellent in time. (Drink starting 2024). VM 91-94 (7/2018): Complex, inviting aromas of white peach, lemon and minerals. Intense flavors of fresh peach and apricot show a lovely supple texture as well as firm supporting minerality, with a note of sweet oak adding appeal. Finishes sappy, smooth and long, with terrific fruity persistence. I could drink this tonight! Clearly an outstanding vintage for this cuvée. Stephen Tanzer. |

| WA 94 (1/2020): Aromas of pastry cream, fresh pears, Meyer lemon and white flowers introduce Ramonet's 2017 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, a full-bodied, deep and textural wine that's concentrated but incisive, with good structural tension and a long, chalky finish. Representing something of a hypothetical blend of the domaine's 2015 and 2014 vintages in this climat, it's well worth seeking out. |

Ripe but attractively fresh aromas are comprised by notes of mostly white orchard fruit, and in particular essence of pear, along with plenty of floral elements that are trimmed in hints of wood, matchstick and mandarin orange peel. There is excellent volume to the powerful, intense and concentrated middle weight plus flavors that display a refreshing salinity on the driving, complex and beautifully long finale. Once again there is solid structure present so this will require at least some patience. Drink 2029+. Sweet Spot Outstanding! |

| VM 91-93 (1/2019): The 2017 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Blanc Grand Cru is the third vintage since the domaine elected to reintroduce it as a Musigny instead of a Bourgogne Blanc. It has a generous, quite Rhône-like bouquet with hints of fennel and oregano infusing the pear and white peach fruit. The palate is beautifully balanced, featuring Corton-Charlemagne-like weight and veins of stem ginger and lemongrass toward the persistent finish. I love the weight and generosity here. A swarthy white Musigny that marches to its own beat. Neal Martin. |
