Park Avenue Pinot Noir |
$140 |

| VM 95 (12/2024): The 2023 Pinot Noir Park Avenue Estate is a new wine in this range. It emerges from a parcel in Sebastopol planted with Calera cuttings from UV. Black cherry, leather, incense and graphite open first, followed by lifted floral and savory notes that add character. The Park Avenue doesn't have the layers of the other Pinots, but it comes very close. This is a seriously impressive debut. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 96 (12/2024): The 2023 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is dense, heady and explosive. The purity of the fruit is just superb. Bright red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender, spice and blood orange all soar from the glass. A wine of depth and textural intensity, the 2023 is just magnificent. So aromatic. Bright acids pull it all together on the finish. The UV is the most delicate and refined of the Pinots from Aubert this year. Antonio Galloni. |

JD 97-99 (1/2025): Darker berries, burning embers, leather, graphite, and assorted tobacco and chocolate notes all define the 2023 EE Red Wine, another absolutely sensational wine from Bevan in 2023 that's going to be legendary. Full-bodied, concentrated, and structured, it stays beautifully pure, focused, and seamless. It's another absolute “wow” wine that readers should snatch up. WA 96-98 (6/2025): Over the past few years, sourcing for Bevan's EE Red Wine has moved from Tench in Oakville to Sugarloaf in southern Napa. Fortunately, quality continues to rule. The 2023 EE Red Wine—a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot—boasts floral, gently leafy scents alongside hints of violet, folding in mixed red and black cherries and even raspberries. It's full-bodied but also pretty and charming, with a supple, silky mouthfeel and a long finish framed by softly dusty tannins. It's terrific stuff. VM 95-97 (12/2024): The 2023 Red Blend EE is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Cabernet Franc from Sugarloaf. Deeply pitched spice notes, mocha, espresso and rose petal meld into a core of red cherry/plum fruit. It is one of the most harmonious and well-balanced of the wines in the range this year. (Drink between 2027-2038). Antonio Galloni. |

Sea Field Pinot Noir |

| VM 94 (1/2025): The 2023 Pinot Noir Sea Field is a powerful, intensely mineral wine. Iron, gravel, red-toned fruit and rose petal are all finely scultped. Salivating acids and a spine of searing tannins give th Sea Fields its shape and insistent, driving personality. Bright saline notes extend the nauced, bracing finish. This nervy Pinot needs time in bottle to be at its most expressive. (Drink between 2026-2038). Antonio Galloni. |

Medium in body, yet fleshy and quite deep, the 2023 is a rockstar all the way. (Drink between 2027-2035). Antonio Galloni. |

Summa Vyd. Pinot Noir |

|
| |
| VM 94 (1/2025): The 2023 Pinot Noir Summa Vineyard is one of the more overtly structured wines in the range. Brisk acids and beams of supporting tannin give the 2023 a decidedly old-school feel that is quite attractive. Readers who find the Rivers-Marie Pinots on the fruitier side will find a wine of notable restraint and energy here. (Drink between 2027-2035). Antonio Galloni. |

JD 98 (12/2025): Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 21 months in 67% new French oak, the 2023 Black Magic represents a best barrel selection blend offering vibrant blue fruits, cassis, liquid violets, graphite, camphor, and sappy floral notes. It's incredibly concentrated, with a seamless, ultra-pure, focused mouthfeel and notable freshness and acidity in a seamless, sensational, full-bodied style. It needs 4-6 years of cellaring but will keep for 40 years. Drink 2029-2065. VM 97 (11/2025): The 2023 Black Magic is a blend from Melanson, Vine Hill Ranch and To Kalon. Sumptuous black-toned fruit, gravel, licorice, menthol and chocolate build nicely, growing into a crescendo of aromas, flavors and textures that is truly captivating. It's one of the wines of the vintage at Tor. Antonio Galloni. WA 96-98 (6/2025): A barrel selection made in the winery as always, Tor's 2023 Black Magic looks to be a pretty complete, compelling example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (with perhaps a bit of Petit Verdot). There's an enticing hint of violets to the blackberries and cassis on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is concentrated, structured and firm, with a long, richly textured finish. |

JD 98 (12/2025): From two blocks (7 and 4), the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard is just gorgeous, with a lifted, pure cassis and blue fruit character intermixed with background floral, chocolate, and graphite notes. Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 21 months in 64% new French oak, it's medium to full-bodied and has remarkable concentration, ripe tannins, and a pure, precise, focused style that's common from this vineyard. It deserves 4-6 years of bottle age and will see its 30th birthday in fine form. Drink 2029-2055. VM 96 (11/2025): The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard is a very sexy, polished wine. Dark cherry/plum fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, orange peel and pomegranate all meld together in the glass. This mid-weight, sophisticated Cabernet should drink well with minimal cellaring. Antonio Galloni. WA 96-98 (6/2025): Normally a blend of three vineyard blocks, Tor's 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch is perfumed and floral on the nose, accentuated by a base of black cherries and cassis. The most dark-fruited of the Tor offerings, it's full-bodied and concentrated, rich without being heavy, with a long, supple finish boasting attractive hints of licorice. |
