JS 95 (4/2023): Fascinating nose that combines notes of white flowers with stone fruit and complex vegetal aromas. Both right and structured, this has a tone of wet stone minerality and wild herb freshness. Long complete finish with a wonderful silky texture. A cuvee of roughly two-thirds marsanne and one-third roussanne. Matured in a combination of concrete eggs and demi-muid oak casks. From organically grown grapes. VM 93 (3/2024): The 2021 Hermitage Blanc Le Chevalier de Sterimberg is a varietal Marsanne using grapes from up to 35-year-old vines. Swirling the glass stirs up fragrant spring blossom, white peach, quince, lemon flesh and green apple aromatics. Offering crisp freshness and an elegant mouthfeel, the 2021 ends with good drive on the sapid finale. (Drink between 2024-2031). Nicolas Greinacher. JD 92 (12/2022): Leading off the two Hermitage Blancs, the 2021 Hermitage Le Chevalier De Sterimberg is mostly Marsanne yet includes one-third Roussanne. It has a perfumed nose of honeyed grapefruit, crisp apple, and chalky minerality as well as a medium-bodied, bright, racy style on the palate. Reminiscent of an impressive Chablis, with bright acidity and a great finish, it should evolve for over a decade. (Drink between 2022-2033) |

VM 96 (3/2024): Vinified from grapes that were harvested as late as the 26th of September, the 2021 L'Hermitage Blanc was cropped at 38 hL/ha, above the levels of 2022. It dazzles with vivid spring blossom, honeysuckle, lemon peel, white peach, quince, apricot and discrete cedar aromas. Medium-bodied and immaculately balanced by bright acidity, this is an athletic L'Hermitage Blanc with marked freshness and energy. A saline aftertaste wraps up the sapid finish. Outstanding. (Drink between 2024-2041). Nicolas Greinacher. JD 95+ (3/2024): Recently bottled, the 2021 Hermitage Blanc is a brilliant wine that shows a fresher, more mineral-driven style while still clearly being in the classic Jean-Louis concentrated, textured style. White currants, crushed citrus, flowers, green almond, and a kiss of reductive-like minerality all define the aromatics, and if you called this a great Grand Cru White Burgundy in a blind tasting, I wouldn't hold it against you. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and beautifully balanced, with a terrific salinity on the finish, it's going to benefit from a year or two of bottle age and I suspect evolve for 20-25 years. |

| JD 92 (12/2022): The 2021 Saint Joseph Silice Blanc has a Burgundian-like sense of reduction as well as beautiful quince, white flowers, honeyed minerality, and a kiss of background spice and toastiness. It's medium-bodied and has a clean, classy style that's going to evolve for 7-8 years in cold cellars. |

| JD 91+ (12/2022): Bright citrus, honeyed lychee, and tangerine notes emerge from Yves' 2021 Condrieu Les Chaillets, a medium-bodied, beautifully textured, balanced Condrieu. It's tight and slightly closed aromatically, yet it really shines on the palate with its purity, balance, and length. |

Cotes du Rhone Blanc Couzou ex-Domaine |

| JD 89 (5/2024): The 2021 Côtes du Rhône Couzou Blanc is based on Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier, all from more granitic soils. It has a light gold hue as well as a subtle nose of ripe stone fruits, honeyed orange, and spice, and it's medium-bodied, nicely textured, and nicely balanced on the palate. It has a good sense of freshness, but it's certainly a rich white that's going to shine on the dinner table. |
