WA 91 (5/2026): Vinified with 20% whole bunches, the 2024 Cornas opens with aromas of violet, iris, cassis and dark berries mingled with delicate spicy notes. Medium- to full-bodied, enveloping and unusually suave for the appellation, it’s tensile and dense, framed by velvety tannins and concluding with a long, fruit-driven finish. This is a civilized and very well-executed Cornas.
VM 90-92 (1/2026): The 2024 Cornas ushers in notes of spot-ripe black fruits, fresh violets and spicy layers. Medium-bodied, crisp and reviving, the 2024 is on track to become a stylish Cornas, bringing the wine off the mid-palate with solid length on the notably sleek finish. (Drink between 2028-2034). WA 92 (5/2026): Delicate notes of rose, dark berries, cassis and fresh licorice emerge from the 2024 Saint-Joseph Peygros, a medium- to full-bodied, dense and concentrated wine. More structured than its siblings, it’s deep and powerful, built around a layered core of fruit framed by firm tannins. Concluding with a long, spicy and generous finish, it will benefit from some time in the cellar to fully integrate.
VM 92-94 (1/2026): Peppercorn, delicately woven licorice, ripe black cherry and gentle smoky tones introduce the alluring 2024 Saint-Joseph Peygros. Midweight carrying real substance and concentrated, the 2024 is showing exceptionally well today, settling the final impression with notable persistence and refinement on the elegant conclusion. JD 91-93 (2/2026): A tiny production cuvée, the 2024 Saint Joseph Peygros offers a rocking nose of red and black fruits intermixed with black olive, roasted meats, pepper, and graphite. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with a pure, graceful mouthfeel and outstanding length. This complex, nuanced, seamless Saint-Joseph will shine right out of the gate yet also evolve gracefully for 15 years or more. |
