| VM 93 (11/2017): Headily decadent aromas of overripe peach and musk melon, peony and lily set the tone for a creamy, enveloping, lusciously fruit-saturated palate. There is enough fresh fruit acidity and salinity to lend the long finish animation and mouthwatering savor, though for now this misses the dynamic or the focus of its Spätlese counterpart, let alone of the Brücke Auslese. | WA 90 (12/2016): The 2015 Riesling Monzinger Kabinett is very clear, ripe and spicy on the nose, but it's also piquant in its stoniness. On the palate, it has lovely elegance, finesse and purity, and the 42 grams of residual sugar are perfectly integrated. The finish is stimulatingly light and salty. This is a picture book Kabinett. |

| WA 93+ (12/2016): The 2015 Riesling Monzinger Halenberg Spätlese is clear, ripe and intense on the nose, intermixing its ripe Riesling, pineapple and lemon flavors with the coolish smokiness of the Halenberg terroir. This is a gorgeous, mouth-filling, round, complex and densely woven Riesling with great mineral grip and lingering salinity. A great Halenberg with aging potential that should be enormous. |

| VM 89 (5/2017): This bottling, as usual based in large part on Saarburg and Oberemmel fruit but also incorporating a bit from Wiltingen, delightfully illustrates the bright, animating acidity of its vintage. Fresh apple and pear are laced with zesty lemon and lime and underlain by wet stone on a firm, palpably extract-rich palate. Green herbal pungency and peat-like smokiness lend further interest to an exuberant and refreshing finish. David Schildknecht. |

| WA 94 (4/2017): The 2015 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese (AP 17) is clear, though still a bit reductive on the nose, offering sweet herbal flavors more than anything else. There are very subtle mineral flavors in the background. The wine is round, highly refined and perfectly balanced on the palate, provided with a lush and sweet fruit, an elegant texture and a stimulating salinity and grip in the finish. This is gorgeous! Keep it for another 5-10 years, though. |

| WA 92 (4/2017): Thanisch's 2015 Berncasteler Doctor Riesling Kabinett is very clear and still reductive on the nose, with flinty sulfur notes, bright fruit aromas and very good definition. Round, lush and juicy but also fine, mineral and salty, this is a delicate, filigreed and elegant Kabinett with a good mineral structure and a mouthwatering salty finish. A classic! |
