| VM 93-95 (9/2016): (50% new oak): Deep, musky aromas of very ripe stone fruits and clove. Silky-sweet in the mouth, showing sexy leesy notes of hazelnut and smoke and excellent salty extract but less obvious oakiness than the Criots and the Bienvenue. This powerful yet suave Batard finishes smooth and vibrant, with a repeating note of clove and terrific saline persistence. |

BH 94 (6/2017): There is a whisper of the exotic to the riper aromas that also possess admirable purity if noticeably less elegance. The succulent, powerful and dense big-bodied flavors once again coat the palate with sappy dry extract on the balanced and harmonious finale. While this isn't an elegant wine per se (Criots rarely is), it is more refined than it usually is. Drink 2025+. Don't miss! VM 91-94 (9/2016): (two-thirds new oak): Bright yellow. Sweet aromas of yellow peach and spicy oak. Sweet, plush and full but not heavy, offering thick, concentrated yellow peach and oak flavors complicated by a saline quality. Finishes very broad and a bit youthfully phenolic. A fruit bomb of a Criots, from south-facing vines. Stephen Tanzer. |

| WA 93+ (4/2018): The 2015 Batard Montrachet Grand Cru wafts from the glass with a dramatic bouquet of peach, tangerine, iodine, beeswax and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is textural, broad and powerful, with chewy extract, imposing density and good grip on the succulent finish. This is a full-bodied, authoritative Bâtard which needs a bit of time in the cellar. |

BH 89-91 (6/2017): A mild note of reduction is present today though it will very likely dissipate in short order. Otherwise, there is good freshness to the petrol, pear and citrus aromas that give way to rich, generous and fleshy flavors that retain a fine sense of detail on the delicious, intense and relatively dry finish that is sneaky long. Drink 2020+. WA 86-88 (12/2016): The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru les Chenevottes has an attractive honeycomb and passion fruit-scented bouquet with hints of shaved almond. The palate is honeyed on the entry with good depth, though it is missing some tension towards the finish at the moment. Hopefully it will develop more nerve by the time of bottling. |

BH 90-92 (6/2017): Once again strong notes of petrol are the predominant aromas on the straw, resin and white orchard fruit-suffused nose. The slightly more energetic medium-bodied flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension before terminating in a citrus, dry and focused finale. Good stuff here. Drink 2020+. WA 88-90 (12/2016): The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers has more precision and mineral tension than the Chassagne les Chenevottes this year. The palate is taut with citrus fruit and honeydew lemon, a little terse on the finish, but showing reasonable energy at this early stage. I would just like to see more substance develop by the time of bottling. |

BH 90-93 (6/2017): ( from both Le and En Charlemagne.) A broad-ranging assortment displays notes of wood, petrol, ripe apple, pear and a hint of viognier. The wood found on the nose carries over to the palate as well though the big-bodied and concentrated flavors should have no trouble absorbing it in time, all wrapped in a strikingly long finish. This has fine development potential but should drink well after only a few years of cellar time if that's your preference. Drink 2021+. WA 90-92 (12/2016): The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has quite a generous bouquet with scents of lime cordial, tropical fruit (mango and pineapple) with a light yeastiness, or perhaps patisserie element that becomes more pronounced with aeration. The palate is balanced with a crisp line of acidity, moderate depth of fruit with notes of citrus peel and a touch of passion fruit, though it probably lacks a little nervosite towards the finish. Not bad, tough I have a preference for the 2014. |

VM 94+ (8/2017): Pale, green-tinged yellow. Captivating but youthfully reticent scents and flavors of citrus peel, white pepper, fresh herbs, crushed stone and white flowers, plus a whiff of rhubarb. Quite broad and full but not at all heavy in the mouth. This wine doesn't have the acid edge of the Bougros Côte Bouguerots but is wonderfully silky and horizontal, coating every square millimeter of the palate--and it's hardly short of energy! Most impressive today on the superb dusty, mounting finish. This potentially outstanding wine still needs time to gain in complexity but it should evolve positively in bottle for many years. Production here was cut by the pre-harvest hailstorm, but if this fruit was picked earlier than originally forecasted, it does not seem to have suffered for it. Stephen Tanzer. BH 93 (10/2017): ( from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope.) Once again there is just enough wood present to warrant mentioning on the strikingly fresh, cool and pure nose of mineral reduction, ripe pear, sea water and floral aromas. There is flat out remarkable power to the highly energetic flavors that also display ample amounts of dry extract that imparts a sappy texture to the intensely mineral-driven, explosive and hugely long finish that is unusually dry for the vintage. It's interesting as one can sense an elevated level of alcohol but surprisingly there is no associated finishing warmth to speak of. Drink 2023+. |

| WA 93 (4/2018): The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is excellent, opening in the glass with notes of golden orchard fruit, spring flowers, orange zest and hazelnut cream, gently framed by new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a glossy attack, superb concentration and an almost chewy sense of extract, its taut structural elements asserting themselves on the grippy finish. While this is marked by the warmth of the vintage it has the necessary energy and freshness to retain its balance. |

| BH 89 (10/2017): A discreet touch of wood sets off the cool and notably floral and citrus-suffused aromas that are composed mainly of ripe white and yellow fruit and petrol nuances. There is once again good volume and mid-palate fat to the rich, round and seductive flavors that are at once sleek but generous, all wrapped in a more complex and persistent finale that also evidences a subtle trace of warmth. Drink 2022+. |
