| VM 92 (8/2019): Glistening orange. Pungent cherry, blood orange and floral scents, along with suggestions of succulent herbs and chalky minerals. Weighty red berry, citrus fruit and candied lavender flavors show sharp delineation and pick up a deeper peach note with aeration. Silky and broad on the impressively long finish, which leaves a refreshingly bitter orange pith note behind. Josh Raynolds. |

WA 93 (6/2023): The citrusy, mentholated 2022 Bandol Rosé was crafted with a blend of 65% Mourvèdre and 35% Cinsault and matured six months in barrels. It displays aromas of pomegranate, citrus, spring flowers, iodine, jasmine and crushed stones, followed by a beautifully defined texture, a fleshy core of fruit and racy acids that underpin a delicate, well-delineated and calcareous finish. It's going to drink nicely in its youth, but I suspect it will also age gracefully over the next 2-5 years. VM 91 (5/2023): The 2022 Rosé is savory and sweet with a rich blend of rosemary, sage and tomato leaf, giving way to dried cherries. It's silky-smooth and round with a buzz of minerality and brisk acidity up front as ginger-spiked nectarine forms toward the close. This tapers off with a salty flourish. Spice and citrus notes keep the mouth watering. Eric Guido. |

VM 93 (5/2025): The 2023 Bandol Rosé is a powerful, classy Rosé that delivers the proverbial “iron fist in a velvet glove.” Deep and rich, the 2023 takes its time in the glass, gradually unfurling layers of waxy cherry fruit, Mediterranean herbs, raspberry liqueur, , crushed oyster shell and dried apricot. There’s an impressive phenolic core and a wealth of complexity here, not to mention a long, long finish. This is a very serious wine with the stuffing to improve in the cellar. Billy Norris. WA 92+ (7/2024): A blend of 65% Mourvèdre and 35% Cinsault, the 2023 Bandol Rosé from Château de Pibarnon offers up a delicate, complex bouquet of spices, licorice, red berries, lemon, spring flowers and herbs. Medium-bodied, enveloping and beautifully structured, it’s round and juicy with a delicate, lively core of fruit and a mineral, calcareous finish. This is a classical rosé wine from Bandol. |

| WA 92 (6/2025): The 2024 Bandol Rosé is another stunning wine from Provence. Revealing a complex, fresh bouquet of red berries, pomegranate, grapefruit and spices, it's medium- to full-bodied, fleshy and round, with a supple, elegant core of fruit supported by moderate tannins, finishing long and delicately saline. |

| VM 93 (8/2018): Light, amber-tinged orange color. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red berries, blood orange, succulent flowers and honey, with a dusty mineral note emerging as the wine opens up. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering concentrated redcurrant, blood orange and lavender pastille flavors and a touch of fennel. The mineral note adds lift and cut to a very long, chewy finish that shows a subtle hint of bitter peach pit. (Drink between 2019-2026). Josh Raynolds. |

VM 93 (8/2019): Light shimmering orange. Intense aromas of strawberry, nectarine, honeydew melon and orange zest, with a bright mineral overtone that builds with air. Shows impressive clarity and tension on the palate, offering juicy pit fruit and red berry flavors that are braced by a bitter suggestion of blood orange. Finishes impressively long and silky, with a strong mineral quality and a hint of lavender. (Drink between 2020-2025). Josh Raynolds. WA 90 (4/2019): Almost more white or straw colored than rosé, the 2018 Cotes de Provence Rose Chateau de Selle is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Crushed stone accents peach, melon and lime on the nose, while the palate is light to medium-bodied, silky and long, finishing with a tactile—almost chalky—sensation. |

WA 94 (12/2010): The 2002 Brut Rose La Grande Annee is a beautifully detailed, subtle wine. A noble, intriguing bouquet leads dried roses, berries, minerals all of which come together with gorgeous articulation. There is a wonderful balance between the vinosity of the Pinot and the more chalky, minerally elements that preserve freshness. The finish is totally impeccable and classy. In a word: Sublime. This is Lot L001831. Disgorged November 10, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015. VM 94 (12/2010): (63% pinot noir and 37% chardonnay) Light orange. Heady, intensely perfumed bouquet of dried red berries, singed orange, Asian spices and potpourri. Dry, precise flavors of tangy citrus fruits and candied flowers, along with a strong mineral undertone. Impressively pure rose with strong finishing cut, lingering spiciness and Outstanding persistence. Most people assume that pink Champagne won't age but I'd bet on this one being even better in five years. Or even later. (Incidentally, I also tasted the 2002 La Cote aux Enfants Coteaux Champenois, which is Bollinger's 100% pinot noir bottling and provides the red wine base for this bottling. It's a dead-ringer for a great Morgon, with an intense mineral core and vibrant dark berry and bitter cherry fruit character. Unfortunately it is also very rare, coming from a vineyard that is less than a hectare in size. A single bottle also costs about as much as six bottles of top-drawer Morgon too. But what price rarity?) BH 91 (10/2009): (82% grand cru, 18% premier cru, 63% pinot noir, 37% chardonnay). A pretty, fresh and nicely broad nose of strawberry and red raspberry notes where the pinot component is quite noticeable and this "pinotnoirness" continues onto the solidly detailed and complex flavors that are crisp but relatively soft on the moderately long finish. I found this almost too accessible given the fine 2002 vintage and while it will clearly continue to age, I see no reason to hold off enjoying it now. Drink now+. |

| VM 96 (12/2011): The 2004 Brut Rose La Grande Annee is a beautifully focused, vibrant wine endowed with striking minerality and fabulous overall balance. Clean veins of chalkiness run through the fruit in this energetic, taut Rose, while seductive floral notes linger on the finish. The 2004 is 68% Pinot Noir (including 5% still Pinot) and 32% Chardonnay, 89% from Grand Cru villages and 11% from Premier Crus. The 2004 is very young, but it is going to be nearly impossible to resist. It is a dazzling effort from Bollinger. Disgorged September 2011. Antonio Galloni. |

WA 94 (4/2019): Containing some 6% red wine from Bollinger's La Côte aux Enfants vineyard, the 2007 La Grande Année Rosé offers up a complex bouquet of dried orange peel, walnuts, confit lemon and crisp orchard fruit. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, chalky and structured, with bright acids and a more overtly phenolic chassis than its white counterpart, concluding with a long, delicately nutty finish. BH 90 (10/2019): A restrained, cool and relatively high-toned nose features notes of raspberry, cherry, strawberry, yeast and a hint of quinine. There is an equal sense of restraint to the almost delicate middle weight flavors that possess good energy thanks to the firm but fine mousse that also suffuses the delicious, clean, dry and crisp finale. This is certainly a very pretty effort but it doesn't have a lot to say in terms of complexity, at least not at present, and as such I would be inclined to allow this to slumber for another 3 to 5 years. (Drink starting 2022). |

| VM 96 (8/2020): The 2012 La Grande Annee Rose is airy, gracious and so wonderfully inviting. Crushed flowers, mint, white pepper and red berry fruit are all gracefully woven together. Today, the 2012 is naturally quite young and still shows the tension of a Champagne that was disgorged just a few months ago. Readers who prefer Champagnes with softer edges and a bit more flavor complexity will want to cellar the 2012. I have to admit, I very much like the wine today, in its youthful state, where its energy and focus are front and center. The 2012 is a blend of 67% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay taken from 21 villages built around a core of Aÿ and Verzenay Pinot Noir and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oiry Chardonnay, crus that are quite complementary. Disgorged January 2020. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 95 (12/2006): Bright, amber-tinged pink with pinpoint bubbles. Deep, smoky and complex, with a kaleidoscopic bouquet incorporating wild strawberry, peach, apricot, chestnut honey and cured meat. A firm, strikingly concentrated midweight with powerful flavors of orange peel, raspberry, redcurrant, baking spice and smoked meat and gentle supporting acidity. Smoky, sweet and long on the back, with a slowly building impression of acidity that suggests this will be a long ager. As usual, a stunning Champagne. |

WA 98 (11/2012): Unfortunately there is only one new release from Dom Perignon on the market, but what a wine it is! The 2002 Brut Rose explodes from the glass with endless layers of huge, voluptuous fruit, A big, full-bodied wine, the 2002 is probably the most overly vinous, intense Rose ever made by long-time Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. Layers of cool, insistent minerality balance the fruit beautifully on the crystalline, vivid finish. The 2002 will be nearly impossible to resist young, but take my word for it; the wine is extremely closed right now. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2032. VM 95 (12/2013): Bright orange-pink. A heady, intensely perfumed bouquet evokes candied red berries, blood orange, rose oil and buttered toast, with vibrant mineral and Asian spice nuances adding complexity; smells like a high-class red Burgundy from one of the high-rent Chambolle neighborhoods. Sappy, penetrating raspberry and bitter cherry flavors gain sweetness with air, with notes of orange marmalade and succulent herbs adding complexity. Clings with superb intensity on the smoky, minerally, floral finish. |

VM 95 (7/2015): The 2004 Dom Perignon Rose has put on remarkable weight over the last year or so. A rich, voluptuous wine, the 2004 Rose hits the palate with stunning depth and resonance. The flavors are bold, rich and beautifully resonant from start to finish. Raspberry, cranberry, smoke, spice and crushed rocks build to the stunning, powerful finish. Vinous and ample, the 2004 Rose will drink well for decades. The 2004 just keeps getting better with time in bottle. Antonio Galloni. WA 96 (6/2016): The fascinatingly copper-colored 2004 Dom Perignon Rose has a beautifully delicate bouquet of red fruits, and indicates a great purity and freshness. Kept on the lees for at least nine years to smooth the tannins the 2004 reveals a weightless power on the palate. It has a deep and concentrated, highly elegant Pinot character (though Chardonnay and Pinot are more or less 50/50), and is full of finesse and freshness. The 2004 is intense and vinous, yet pure, precise and extremely fine. Adorable. |

| VM 94 (12/2016): The 2005 Dom Perignon Rose is surely one of the wines of this challenging harvest. That's the good news. The less good news, in relative terms, of course, is that the 2005 does not appear to have budged much over the last year. The 2005 remains tightly wound and a touch nervous, with considerable energy and tons of intensity, all qualities that will help it age. Readers will have to be patient with the 2005. Even over time, I imagine the 2005 will always remain a Champagne of cut and energy. In 2005, Pinot Noir makes up around 55-60% of the blend, which is on the higher side of things for Dom Perignon Rose in historical terms. Antonio Galloni. |

VM 96+ (7/2018): The 2006 Dom Perignon Rose is tightly-wound and austere, with notable aromatic presence and tons of raw intensity that just needs time to fully come together. Interestingly, the Rose is very different in style and feel than the Blanc. Time in the glass coaxes an exotic melange of black cherry, cranberry, mint and crushed rocks, but ultimately, the 2006 is no mood to show all of its cards. Antonio Galloni. WA 95 (3/2019): The 2006 Dom Perignon Rose is showing well, offering up an expressive bouquet of bitter orange, red berries, apple and a delicate hint of dried flowers and herbs. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and broad, with a fine mousse, ripe acids and chalky phenolic structure, especially on the finish, which testifies to the fully 20% of still red wine that was included in the blend. This is a vinous, gastronomic rose that numbers among the decided successes of the 2006 vintage. |

| VM 97 (5/2021): The 2008 Dom Perignon Rose is magnificent. Rich and deep in the glass, the 2008 offers up an exotic melange of aromas and flavors. Sweet red cherry, mint, orange peel and rose petal all grace this beguiling beauty. Bright acids and a little less still red Pinot (21%) than in most recent editions yields a Rose that is delicate and light on its feet, with less of the vinous intensity that marked vintages such as 2006. There is a classic feeling of austerity in the 2018 that is mesmerizing. Antonio Galloni. |

VM 98 (3/2024): The 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé is tremendous. Rich, creamy and ample, the 2009 impresses with its sheer radiance, the signature of the year. Kirsch, orange peel, mint, spice and cedar all build in the glass. Silky, plush contours wrap it all together. The 2009 is a pretty overt Rosé, but the energy and brightness of Champagne are never far away. Antonio Galloni. WA 95 (10/2023): In comparison to the charming, pure 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé, the 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé possesses a ripe, dense bouquet with aromas of dark berries, licorice, dried white flowers, toast and pastry, enhanced by delicate, racy smoky hints. Full-bodied, broad and rich, it’s dense and phenolic due to the approximately 15% still red wine sourced from grapes planted in the villages of Hautvilliers, Aÿ and Bouzy, culminating in a protracted, sapid and chalky finish. Although already thoroughly enjoyable, it should age well over the next 10 years. This blend of 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay was disgorged in March 2022 with a dosage of five grams per liter. |

| JS 96 (10/2016): This has plenty of dried roses, rose hip and other very gently seductive perfumes on offer here such as wild cherries, some pepper, plenty of spices and pink, musky marshmallows. The autolysis is still very discreet, although the fruits have changed to another phase of more savory characters and are really delicate. This is undoubtedly a restrained Champagne on a very slow path of evolution. The palate's smoothly layered with the phenolics shaping it in the first phase of the palate, casting a long tube-like form. The core is composed of dried strawberries, some spiced cherries, some dried peaches and pink grapefruit to boot. It then gives way to fresh acidity as it delivers a really thrilling and mouth-watering finish with some toasty hazelnuts and flamed orange zest to close. Superb focus, and the vintage character of the acidity and length is stunning. Beautifully preserved in the cellars for some twenty-odd years. What a treat! Drink now and for another decade or more. This will age on cork very nicely. Truly a superb expression of Dom Perignon Rose. |

| VM 94 (7/2019): The 2005 Dom Pérignon Rosé is an attractive, persistent wine with plenty of character. Sweet dried cherry, mint and rose petals are some of the many nuances that develop with air. Savory notes that are on the edge of vegetal and a real feeling of tannin from the 27% still red Pinot in the blend give the 2005 a decidedly savory edge. (Drink between 2020-2030). | VM 97 (6/2023): I was blown away by the NV Brut Rosé, not so much for its quality and personality, both of which I expected, but by its freshness, considering it was disgorged a few years ago. Bright citrus, floral and cranberry race across the palate in an airy, weightless Rosé that delivers all the goods, and then some. It’s a gorgeous wine to enjoy with canapés to kick off this remarkable dinner. The blend is almost all Chardonnay, with just a few drops of still Pinot that is purchased from Francis Egly. | VM 98 (5/2015): One of the highlights in this tasting, the 2006 Cristal Rose is simply stunning. A vertical, towering wine, the 2006 Cristal Rose is a thrill a minute, with a compelling interplay of aromatics and exquisitely layered fruit, all supported by a real feeling of phenolic intensity. While the 2007 is seductive, the 2006 is virile and imposing, with the statuesque lift of a Giacometti sculpture. All the elements meld together in a complete, alluring Champagne that will continue to drink beautifully for many decades. In 2006, the Pinot Noir was already being farmed biodynamically, while the Chardonnay was still under conversion. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 99 (7/2018): As a group, the 2008 Champagnes are focused and tightly wound. The 2008 Cristal Rose has plenty of those qualities, but what places it in a truly rarified category is its sheer depth and verticality. Vinous, powerful and resonant, the 2008 Cristal Rose has more than enough stuffing to support decades of cellaring. For starters, it won’t be ready to drink for another 5-10 years. This is a positively monumental, towering Champagne from Chef de Caves Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon and his team. Antonio Galloni. |

JD 99 (7/2020): Just about as good as it gets, the 2012 Cristal Rosé is a magical effort based on 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay. It’s a powerful, medium to full-bodied, incredibly textured rosé offering a huge amount of salty, chalky minerality as well as awesome notes of white cherries, orange blossom, caramelized apples, and toasted bread. It shows the ripe, rounded richness of the 2012 vintage yet has bright, racy acidity, perfect balance, and a great, great finish. It opens up nicely with air and will ideally be given 2-4 years of bottle age, and it should evolve for 2-3 decades. (Drink between 2022-2054). VM 98 (11/2024): In this setting, the 2012 Cristal Rosé is a cut above the 2012 Cristal. The Rosé’s explosive energy and vibrancy are both compelling, and also a very fine match for the food. Time in the glass brings out the breadth and creaminess of the year. The blend is 55% Pinot Noir from Aÿ and 45% Chardonnay from Mesnil and Avize. This is a terrific showing. We are off to the races. (Drink between 2026-2052). Antonio Galloni. WA 98 (3/2020): The 2012 Cristal Rosé is showing brilliantly, unwinding in the glass with a beautiful bouquet of fresh peach, bergamot, strawberries, tangerine and blanched almonds that's still quite reserved. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and strikingly complete, its vinous attack segueing into a multidimensional core that exemplifies the ideal of power without weight, built around a racy but integrated spine of animating acidity and complemented by an exquisitely refined mousse. All the concentration of the 2012 vintage is on display, but it's rendered with terrific finesse. Decidedly youthful and introverted—indeed, I spent several hours with a bottle to compose this note—the 2012 will really come into its own with five or six years in the cellar and displays all the attributes necessary for considerable longevity. It's a blend of 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay that saw no malolactic fermentation, and it was disgorged with eight grams per liter dosage. |

| VM 99 (4/2024): Tasted from magnum, the 2013 Cristal Rosé is ravishing. Dense, creamy and powerful, the 2013 captures all the qualities of the vintage, specifically the interplay of rich fruit from the warm summer and cooler inflections from a year that started late and ended late with a rare October harvest. Today, the 2013 is deep and beautifully seamless, but it is also young – far too young to be at its best. Dosage is 6.5 grams per liter, a bit less than for the standard bottlings, a decision taken to balance longer aging on the lees and a bit more residual sugar that is always left in the magnums after fermentation. Readers who can find the 2013 in magnum will experience one of the greatest thrills in wine. Antonio Galloni. |

JD 95 (11/2023): Certainly the highlight in this tasting from Deutz, I absolutely love the nose of the 2013 Champagne Amour De Deutz Millésime Brut. It sports a vibrant pale yellow color and is laced with layered aromas of pastry cream, candied grapefruit, frangipane, peach rings, and shortbread. Elegant and detailed, the palate opens to a refined mousse that allows the wine itself to shine through, with a focused lift on the finish. It is a wonderfully expressive and graceful wine to drink now through 2040. Audrey Frick. VM 94 (11/2023): The 2013 Brut Rosé Millésimé Amour de Deutz shows a bit more seriousness than the last time I tasted it, about two years ago. It remains a gracious, lifted Rosé, but time has amplified the mineral edge such that the 2013 today is quite nervy and brilliant, with little, if any, loss of freshness. Cranberry, mint, orange peel, white flowers and crushed rocks all race through to the intensely saline, sculpted finish. Drink between 2023-2033. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 95 (7/2019): The 2008 Clos des Goisses Juste Rose is terrific. Over the last few months, the Juste Rose has really come into its own. In most vintages, Just Rose leans towards the airy side of the spectrum, but the 2008 packs a serious punch of both fruit depth and overall intensity as well as structure. Citrus, floral, mineral and blood orange notes add brightness and energy to a core of dense Pinot fruit in this deceptively pale yet beautifully resonant Rose from Philipponnat. The 2008 finishes with tremendous depth and pure class. It is the best vintage of this wine yet. The blend is 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay, essentially the same as the Blanc, with drops of saignee Pinot blended in. |

JS 99 (3/2020): The light rust and amber color is enticing. Aromas of dried rose petals, cinnamon and nutmeg. Hints of dried meat, smoke and sage. Full body and compact, creamy texture. So fine and delicious. Great, subtle and complex flavors. More like a lightly aged, premier cru Volnay, but with the magic of Champagne. Drink now. VM 97 (7/2018): The 2007 Comtes de Champagne Rose is a total knock-out. Racy and exuberant in the glass, the 2007 wraps around the palate with stunning textural depth and resonance. The 15% still Pinot adds structure and persistence to a creamy, inviting Rose Champagne that will leave readers weak at the knees. Hints of rose petal, dried cherry, cinnamon and dried flowers meld into the sublime finish. This is about as good as it gets. Wow! Antonio Galloni. WA 96 (8/2019): This bottle of Taittinger's just-released 2007 Brut Comtes de Champagne Rose was disgorged in December 2018, and it's showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with a complex bouquet of blood orange, minty raspberries, red plums, dried flowers and warm brioche. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, chalky and tensile, sharing a racy, chiseled profile with its Blanc de Blancs cousin. Deep, concentrated and tightly wound, the wine concludes with a long, sapid finish. This is an intense, racy Comtes Rose with a long future ahead of it. As has been the norm chez Taittinger for several years now, the blend is based upon 70% Pinot Noir and includes 15% still red wine from Bouzy. |

| VM 93 (5/2022): The 2008 Comtes de Champagne Rosé is bright, steely and finely chiseled right out of the gate. It shows quite a bit or energy and also more overall tension than the Blanc today. It will be interesting to see how the 2008 ages, and if the fruit ever emerges. I suspect the 2008 will always remain a rather nervous Rosé, even if it is quite striking today. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, chalk and white pepper build into a finish supported by bright, salivating acids and plenty of steely minerality. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 94 (1/2024): The 2018 Rosé Charles Heintz Vineyard is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with 10% of the Pinot component vinified with stems. Rose petal, kirsch, mint and cinnamon all grace this striking Rosé. It’s quite attractive, but not as pure or crystalline as the Blanc de Blancs. Pretty floral notes grace the finish. Disgorged: November, 2022. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Antonio Galloni. |
