VM 96 (1/2020): The 2018 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is one of the very best Pinots I have ever tasted from Mark Aubert. What I like most is the interplay of aromatics, energy and overall freshness, all of which balance the richness Aubert coaxes from Pinot. In the glass, the UV-SL is so beautiful, so vivid and so compelling. A rush of red/purplish berry fruit, sage, mint and lavender builds into the precise, delineated finish. Not only is the UV-SL the most complete of the three Pinots, it is also very clearly the most stylistically aligned with the Chardonnays. I loved it. Antonio Galloni. |

JD 92 (1/2019): The 2016 DB4 checks in as a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, sourced all from the Madrona, Lucia, and Thorevilos vineyards. It’s a beautiful, seamless wine that offers lots of blackcurrants, licorice, and roasted herb aromatics, medium to full body, fine tannins, and terrific overall balance. This beauty just glides over the palate and is already a joy to drink, yet it’s capable of lasting for 15 years or more. (Drink between 2019-2034) VM 92 (12/2018): The 2016 DB 4 is a gorgeous entry-level offering from Bryant. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, espresso and licorice all flesh out in a radiant, wonderfully inviting wine that will be ready to deliver serious pleasure pretty much upon release. Soft curves and generous, plush fruit add to the wine's considerable appeal. What a gorgeous wine this is. (Drink between 2020-2031). Antonio Galloni. |

WA 96 (5/2022): The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard barely hints at eucalyptus on the nose, with much more emphasis given to black cherries and cassis. This is full-bodied and rich, nicely balancing richness and texture against linear shape and focus and picking up hints of blueberries and spice on the long, mouthwatering finish. With 112 barrels having been bottled, there's a fair bit of this wine to go around, if one can afford it. WS 95 (11/2021): (WS #3 wine of 2021) This throws off an overt and alluring mint aroma, while sweet bay leaf, violet, damson plum, red tea and steeped griotte notes all glide through together, carried by remarkably fine-grained tannins. Ends with a gentle echo of mint on the finish, while a subtle minerality chimes through as well. A stylish and suave wine, with plenty of charm now, but also pristine balance for cellaring. Best from 2022 through 2038. 2,500 cases made. |

VM 96 (12/2020): Deep, brilliant ruby. Powerful, smoke-accented red and dark berry and spice-cake aromas are complemented by suave floral and incense accents that expand as the wine opens up. Appealingly sweet and broad on the palate, offering sappy black raspberry, cherry liqueur, star anise and lavender pastille flavors supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Smoothly plays richness off energy and finishes spicy and extremely long, with lingering florality and smooth tannins that add shape and subtle grip. (Drink between 2024-2034). Josh Raynolds. |

VM 97 (5/2024): The 2019 Cabernet Franc Gran Enemigo Single Vineyard Agrelo also includes 15% Malbec from the clayish soils of Luján de Cuyo. Aged for 15 months in foudres, this purplish wine reveals enticing cigar ash notes alongside blueberry and plum aromas, with a subtle cedar backdrop. Dry, rich and plush on the palate, it quickly tightens due to its fine-grained, reactive, clay-like tannins. This long-lasting red lingers on the ashy notes, beautifully layered and crafted with a modernist touch in a slightly cool vintage. (Drink between 2024-2040). Joaquin Hidalgo. |
