| VM 96 (6/2014): Rose petals, savory herbs, leather, mint and plum notes open up in the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich, fleshy and textured, the 2007 captures a gorgeous balance between the raciness of the vintage and the inherent structure of this hillside site. The fruit turns darker on the finish as the tannin firms up. Although the 2007 can be enjoyed today there is little question its best days lie ahead. This is the best bottle of the 2007 I have had recently. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 91+ (5/2018): Bright medium ruby. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and herbs are accented by a slightly weedy herbal element. Not at all a sweet style, but boasts terrific energy and precision to its flavors of dark berries, saline minerality and pungent peppery herbs. There's nothing plush or fleshy about this rather claret-like wine but it's showing more fruit to go with its soil tones than it did at the outset. Finishes with serious but surprisingly suave tannins and excellent length and thrust. This still needs patience but promises more ahead. (Drink between 2023-2036). Stephen Tanzer. |

| VM 99 (1/2020): The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is every bit as monumental as it was from barrel last year. Rich, deep and powerful, the 2016 is endowed with tremendous fruit concentration and all of the structure to back it up. Wild, savory and super-expressive from the very first taste, the 2016 is utterly magnificent. Wild cherry, grilled herbs, new leather, licorice and mocha infuse the 2016 with tremendous brooding power. The 2016 represents a striking, contemporary expression. All the Mayacamas signatures are there, but with just an extra kick of finesse that makes the 2016 a Cabernet of total allure. Antonio Galloni. |

VM 97 (5/2024): The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is the last wine Bob Travers made. It shows all the classic Mayacamas notes of savory and earthy intensity, with gorgeous fruit and exceptional balance. The 2012 is just at the very early part of what is sure to be a very long drinking window that will stretch several decades. This is an exceptionally fine vintage here. (Drink between 2022-2052). JD 93 (12/2023): The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon offers more ripeness and depth compared to the 2009, with solid ripe black fruits, chocolate, and roasted herb notes, with some earthy, old wood-like background nuances. It's medium-bodied, balanced, has fine tannins, and outstanding length. It's a beautiful, layer, utterly classic old school Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy over the coming 15 years.
