| VM 94 (1/2017): Limpid violet. A seductively perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red berries, Asian spices and potpourri, and subtle cola and licorice nuances emerge with aeration. Juicy and pure on the palate, offering intense raspberry, lavender pastille and spicecake flavors and a refreshingly bitter touch of blood orange. Delivers a serious payload of vibrant berry and spice character without excess weight, and finishes extremely long and nervy, displaying no rough edges and lingering florality. (Drink between 2018-2025). Josh Raynolds. |

VM 93 (12/2017): Limpid violet. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, Asian spices and smoky minerals, accompanied by an exotic touch of incense in the background. In a distinctly elegant style for the vintage, offering seamless, appealingly sweet raspberry, floral pastille and spicecake flavors that show very good concentration as well as finesse. A core of juicy acidity adds support and focus to a very long, floral-dominated finish shaped by smooth, harmonious tannins. (Drink between 2021-2027). Josh Raynolds. WA 90+ (8/2017): The 2015 Morgon Cuvee Corcelette took a little encouragement from the glass, eventually revealing blackcurrant pastilles, cranberry leaf and wet limestone aromas that need to develop a tad more detail. The palate is well balanced with a velvet texture, not the most complex Morgon Corcelette that I encountered on my travels, but there is great depth towards the finish with the 14.7% alcohol neatly disguised. I would afford this another couple of years in bottle, and it may well warrant a higher evaluation. |

| WA 93 (8/2016): The 2015 Morgon has a clean and vibrant bouquet with perfumed dark cherries, redcurrant, a touch of gravel and touches of rose petal. The palate is nicely structured, brimming over with energy. The acidity is very well judged, quite sturdy as Morgon should be, no hard edges here but just the background "hum" of tension from start to finish. This is just a superb Morgon from Mathieu and Camille Lapierre. |
