BH 94 (6/2018): A strikingly pretty melange of white orchard fruit aromas displays back ground notes of floral and wet stone hints. There is excellent density and plenty of punch to the sleek, pure and refined middle weight flavors that possess excellent definition and particularly so on the lingering finish that goes on and on. In a word, terrific. Drink 2026+. Outstanding!
VM 92-94 (9/2017): (from a yield of about 40 hectoliters per hectare, according to Boillot): Bright yellow. Musky scents of yellow fruits, flowers, minerals and hazelnut. Suave and seriously concentrated, with high-pitched flavors of pineapple, soft citrus fruits, spices and crushed stone complicated by a petrolly suggestion. Finishes with superb energy and carry-through: a bit more discreet on the end than the Genevrières but with a slowly building whiplash of flavor nonetheless. Very complete wine. Stephen Tanzer. |

BH 94 (6/2018): (from a parcel of <.33 ha.) A reserved nose is pure, cool and airy with its spiced white orchard fruit, citrus blossom and mineral reduction aromas. There is genuinely striking intensity to the gorgeously textured medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the rich but gorgeously refined finish that is also strikingly saline. Lovely. Drink 2028+. Sweet Spot Outstanding!
VM 90-93 (9/2017): Bright yellow. Deeper-pitched on the nose than the , Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières, offering aromas of apricot, mandarin orange, smoke and hazelnut. Fine-grained and dense but still a bit hard-edged and in need of further elevage. A bit drier and more aggressive on the end than on the front half, finishing with a hint of menthol. This fruit was harvested very early with sound natural acidity. (Boillot will not bottle a Puligny-Montrachet Folatières or a Caillerets owing to frost losses.) Stephen Tanzer. |

| VM 91 (9/2018): Ripe stone fruits complemented by nutty nuances on the nose. Plush and fine-grained, with its stone fruit flavors currently overshadowed by nuts, earth and salty minerality. Rich and mouthfilling for young Corton-Charlemagne but I don't find quite the verve or grip shown by a barrel sample a year ago. Incidentally, the acidity here is 3.8 grams per liter, as with the Cailleret. Stephen Tanzer. |

| BH 94 (6/2019): In the same fashion as the BBM, this initially plays on the edge of reduction but with air hints of exotic fruit, wood, petrol and a whiff of acacia blossom slowly emerge. Once again, like the BBM the flavors are not particularly dense but they do offer an absolutely beguiling texture that is at once sleek but refined, all wrapped in a clean, dry and sneaky long finish that really fans out like a peacock's tail as it sits on the palate. While there is a touch of warmth here as well, the overall impression is more harmonious. Drink 2028+_. |

| WA 93 (8/2018): Raveneau's 2016 Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux is excellent, offering up a youthfully reserved bouquet of apple, white peach, beeswax and dried flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with lovely texture, considerable mid-palate amplitude and a bright line of acidity, concluding with a firm, salty finish that balances its somewhat gourmand attack. Along with the Vaillons, the Butteaux stood out as one of the most complete of Raveneau's premiers crus this year, revealing more and more nuance over several days. Right now, it's quite closed, but I won't be surprised if it becomes quite musky and exotic after a few years in the cellar. |

| VM 92 (9/2018): Bright, light yellow. Inviting musky aromas of yellow peach and hazelnut. Intensely flavored and sweet, with harmonious acidity energizing the flavors of lemon, orange oil and spices. Finishes suave, savory and aromatic, with surprising energy. The Charmes possesses more grip but this wine is more charming today. A very good choice of harvest date here! The first vintage for this wine was 2011, and since 2015 the estate has begun to reap the benefits of the work it has done in these vines, which were planted in the 1950s, the 1980s and around 2000, according to Eric Baudin. | VM 91+ (9/2018): Green-tinged yellow. Piquant lime zest and mineral aromas. Lively and sharply delineated but also displays excellent depth and salty minerality, with its limey acidity giving it a compellingly juicy character. Finishes tactile and long. Lots of potential here. These vines, planted between 1958 and 1962, produced just under 30 hectoliters per hectare in 2016, which assistant Baudin described as "not a disaster in terms of yield in 2016." He noted that the wine Roulot makes from this favored site is typically between the estate's lieux-dits and premier crus in quality.
