Margaret Red Wine

WA 96 (6/2024): The 2014 Margaret Woodlands Vineyard is all about cocoa and roast beef crust, cedar and sandalwood, graphite and fresh pencil sharpener. In the mouth, the tannins are grainy and chewy, and this is an overly seductive quality that I find moreish and exciting. This is all about the tannins, and while the fruit is red fruited, it sits second seat to the gorgeous tannins. Superb. This has long been a wine with an avid following, one which I emphatically understand. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
