| WA 94+ (12/2016): The single-vineyard 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus Vineyard is from a Calistoga site. The wine shows none of the rugged tannins and sometimes rustic character that can come from the northern end of Napa Valley in Calistoga. This is a beauty. About 350 cases were produced, the wine has an opaque ruby/purple color, hints of loamy soil undertones, forest floor, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, and a touch of licorice and spice. This is deep, full-bodied and super-impressive. It is approachable now, but will be better with 2-3 years of cellaring and keep for 25-30 years. |

VM 95+ (1/2018): The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus from Turnbull's estate vineyard in Calistoga, is fabulous. Exuberant fruit and striking mid-palate richness give the wine much of its immediacy and sheer appeal. Today, the 2015 is naturally very primary, but it is both hugely delicious and promising. Lavender, licorice, black cherry, crème de cassis and plum explode onto the dramatic, baritone-inflected finish. What a gorgeous wine this is. (Drink between 2020-2035). Antonio Galloni. WA 94 (12/2017): Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus Vineyard offers up crushed red and black plums, black currets and sawdust notes with hints of potpourri, forest floor and baking spices. Full, plush and rich, the palate is packed with spicy red and black fruits, with just enough freshness and great length. |

VM 97 (1/2020): The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus Vineyard is a big, powerful, brawny Calistoga Cabernet. Black cherry, grilled herbs, leather, menthol, licorice and cured meats give the 2017 striking aromatic nuance to play off a core of huge black fruit. Big, muscular tannins frame this decidedly virile, potent Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an especially rich, masculine wine. It is also the only pure Cabernet in the Turnbull range. (Drink between 2024-2037). Antonio Galloni. WA 92+ (10/2019): Deep purple black colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus Vineyard offers up notes of plums preserves, blueberry pie and spice cake with hints of Indian spices, fallen leaves and tobacco plus a waft of potpourri. Full-bodied, the palate is packed with spicy black fruit preserves, framed by chewy tannins and finishing savory. |

WA 99 (12/2015): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is another candidate for perfection with a few more years of bottle age. Inky bluish/purple with wonderfully sweet blue and black fruits and floral notes. The wood seems perfectly integrated, the wine full-bodied and multi-dimensional, extremely long and pure. This is an unbelievable effort in this great vintage and should prove to be a future legacy wine for Turnbull Wine Cellars. Forget it for 5-6 years and drink it over the following 30+. VM 93 (12/2016): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna is lifted, silky and nicely textured, with lovely red fruit, bright floral notes and terrific overall balance. This is a decidedly gracious, feminine style. All the elements fuse together in a supple, open-knit Cabernet Sauvignon that can be enjoyed now or cellared. This is an especially delicate, silky Cabernet Sauvignon. Antonio Galloni. |

| WA 95 (10/2018): Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is a little youthfully mute, slowly unfurling to reveal fresh black cherries, blackcurrants and wild blueberries with wafts of underbrush, new leather, cinnamon stick and cloves plus a touch of mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, wonderfully elegant and sophisticated in the mouth, it has a solid backbone of grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with great poise. |

Fortuna Vyd. Merlot |

| WA 93 (12/2015): The 2013 Merlot Fortuna Vineyard is a killer Merlot, one of the best Merlot's I've tasted in Northern California. The color is dense plum/purple and the wine offers up chocolate, mocha and highly extracted black cherry fruit. Once the wine hits the palate it's full-bodied, rich, textured, pure and sexy. This is a wine to drink over the next 10-12 years. |

| WA 93 (12/2016): The 2014 Merlot Fortuna Vineyard is a beautiful wine showing plenty of black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, high-quality subtle toast and licorice. The wine hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, elegant, but intense and full. The purity of fruit, the dense purple color and the 40- to 45-second finish make for an exceptional example of one of the best Merlots you are going to find in Napa. |

| WA 90 (10/2018): Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Merlot Fortuna Vineyard opens with a slightly tarry/rubbery notes, giving way to notions of warm plums, blackberry preserves and spice cake with a waft of mocha. Medium to full-bodied, the palate gives plenty of juicy black fruits and a chewy frame, finishing on an earthy note. |

Leopoldina Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |
$185 |

| |
WA 96+ (12/2015): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Leopoldina Vineyard is showing loads of new oak, plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit, a tightly knit, coiled style that is often the case with these big, rich 2013s. Yet, it has enormous potential, a tremendous full-bodied mouthfeel, and a finish close to 45-50 seconds. This wine just needs another 7-10 years of cellaring and should last 30 or 40 years. VM 94 (12/2016): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Leopoldina is a big, heady wine endowed with serious personality and depth. Macerated cherry, plum, spice, licorice, menthol and crushed rocks infuse this super-expressive, flamboyant Cabernet Sauvignon. Leopoldina is an alternate name Turnbull uses for their Weitz vineyard on the eastern side of Oakville. (Drink between 2019-2030). Antonio Galloni. |

| |
| WA 93+ (12/2016): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Leopoldina Vineyard is opaque purple to the rim, with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit in a tightly knit, reserved style that, more than the other wines, begs for 4-5 years of bottle age. This is a big, generously endowed wine with loads of blue and black fruits, incense and creosote, but needs time given the tannic profile. Forget it for 3-4 years and drink it over the following 30 years. |

Oakville Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Very Lightly Scuffed Label |

JD 93+ (12/2017): The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve offers lots of blackcurrant and bluebrry fruit as well as notes of graphite, licorice, and scorched earth. Picking up a distinct violet character with time in the glass, it has full-bodied richness, a concentrated, firm, structured style, good acidity, and a great finish. It's a backward, structured pontetial-packed beauty that needs 3-4 years of bottle age and will keep for two decades. (Drink between 2018-2038). WA 93 (12/2017): Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve has a baked black cherries, black berries and wile blueberries-scented nose with hints of levender, pencil shavings and earth plus a touch of cloves. The palate is full-bodied and bursting with black berry and earthy flavors, supported by soft, rounded tannins and fishing with a hint of pepper. VM 92 (1/2018): The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a blend of fruit from the Fortuna and Leopoldina (Weitz) vineyards. Supple, pliant and inviting, the Reserve is a goregeous wine for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Succulent dark cherry, mocha, new leather, spice, menthol and dark spice add nuance to the voluptous, racy finish. This is another striking wine from Turnbull (Drink between 2020-2030).
