| VM 91 (10/2021): The 2017 Barolo is a pretty dense wine from proprietor Nicola Oberto. I am used to seeing a bit more finesse and transparency here, but the 2017 is quite a powerhouse. Large-grained tannins add to that impression. Time in the glass brings out hints of spice and tobacco, and yet the 2017 remains a bit rough around the edges. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 93 (1/2023): The 2019 Barolo Berri is tightly wound and austere in the early going. Crushed red berry fruit, iron, dried herbs and white pepper give the Berri a striking aromatic top register. The tannins are a bit nervy, though, so a few years in bottle are warranted. Frost decimated the crop at Torriglione, which is why this wine (typically the Barolo del Comune di La Morra) is Berri in 2019. To be exact, there is 4% Torriglione, as that was the wine used for topping. (Drink between 2025-2037). Antonio Galloni. |

VM 96 (1/2025): The 2020 Barolo Berri is the bomb. Rich, racy and explosive, the 2020 Berri remains one of the very best wines in this young estate's history. It has started to close down a bit, especially in its aromatics, but its purity of fruit—the quality I have always admired most—is still very much present. What a wine! (Drink between 2026-2038). JD 93 (5/2024): Tasted from the bottle, the 2020 Barolo Berri is a ripe ruby color and is fruity on the nose, with black raspberries, fresh lavender, candied orange, and wet stones. It has a rounded feel on the palate, with ripe tannins and offers a more immediate feel. It’s gorgeous now but also has a great mineral backbone and the freshness and elegance to age gracefully. This approachable red is going to drink well over the next 12-15 years. Audrey Frick. |

| VM 92 (2/2022): The 2018 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is absolutely gorgeous. Bright and translucent yet with remarkable depth for the year, the 2018 is terrific. Proprietor Nicola Oberto decided not to bottle his flagship Barolo from Rocche dell'Annunziata and used the fruit to bolster his straight Barolo bottling, a decision that was spot on. Sweet red cherry, orange peel, cinnamon, tobacco and dried leaves are all very nicely lifted in this ethereal, nuanced Barolo. The 2018 is simply exquisite. Readers will have a hard time finding a better example of the year at this level. (Drink between 2024-2036). Antonio Galloni. |

JD 95 (5/2023): Spicy and elegant, the 2019 Barolo Rocche Dell'Annunziata is laced with notes of incense, fresh earth, and ripe cherry. Linear and driving, it has a gripping structure, with lasting Asian spices, wild berries, and tea leaf. It is an outstanding wine to hold another couple of years and drink 2025-2045. Audrey Frick.
VM 95 (1/2023): The 2019 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is the best wine I have tasted yet from Nicola and Stefania Oberto. The biggest change here in recent years is the elimination of small oak in favor of casks, a move that really allows the full character of Rocche dell'Annunziata to come through. Dark cherry, kirsch, hard candy, rose petal and mint are all amplified in this gorgeous, translucent Barolo. A range of perfumed, floral accents lifts the intensely aromatic finish.
