JD 95 (12/2021): From a site outside of St. Helena, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is a more mineral-laced, red and blue-fruited effort with some Pauillac-like lead pencil and earthy nuances. With nicely integrated oak, medium to full-bodied richness, and notable tannins, give it 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 10-15. It's another terrific wine in this portfolio. (Drink between 2023-2039). WA 95 (11/2021): Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color. Alluring notes of warm cassis, blackberry pie and fresh black cherries jump out of the glass, plus wafts of bay leaves, truffles and pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate is wonderfully savory with lots of herbal sparks among the black fruits and a firm, grainy frame, finishing refreshing. VM 90 (1/2022): A new wine in this range, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard offers plenty of initial impact, but then loses much of its persistence on the mid-palate and finish. There is no way getting around the young age of these wines. This wine probably should not have been a vineyard designate. (Drink between 2022-2030). Antonio Galloni. |

Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |

| |
| WA 97 (12/2010): The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard exhibits a rich creme de cassis-filled nose, less minerality than the 2008 revealed (but I’m sure it’s lurking under the surface), a healthy, impressive blue/purple color, juicy, succulent fruit, a multidimensional mouthfeel and great purity and depth. Everything suggests this guy, Mike Smith, knows a thing or two about what great wine is all about. This beauty should evolve for 20+ years. |

| VM 93 (5/2012): (a blend of four Darnajou and two Taransaud barrels): Bright deep ruby. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice and cocoa powder. Extremely primary and dense, with a salty complexity to the rich flavors of crushed berries, violet and bitter chocolate. Big, rich and tactile wine, finishing with serious but noble tannins and a lingering note of dark chocolate. A bit lower in pH than the Georges III but every bit as sexy today in spite of its youth. |

Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |
$189 |

| |
| WA 95 (12/2016): One of my favorite first-growth sites of Napa Valley is the Dr. Crane Vineyard on the back streets of St. Helena, and Myriad produces two cuvées: a 225-case Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian, which is a barrel selection based on the best barrels Mike Smith can find from Darnajou and Taransaud cooperage. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr Crane Vineyard, 15.1% alcohol, is from clone 337 and is a wine of great power and richness with complex blueberry and blackberry, charcoal and graphite notes, stunning minerality, beautiful purity, velvety tannins and a killer finish of close to 50+ seconds. This wine is drinkable because it is a 2014, but it should age nicely for two decades or more. |

Beckstoffer Georges III Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5 L) |
$225 |

|
| |
| VM 91 (7/2019): Healthy ruby-red. Red and dark fruits, tobacco leaf, wild herbs, black pepper, mocha and sweet oak on the nose; conveys a distinctly leafy/menthol Cabernet Sauvignon element. Savory and moderately sweet on the palate, offering a refined texture and a blend of sweet red and darker fruit and chocolate flavors. A bit more chocolatey and less herbal in the mouth than on the nose, but with a faint peppery quality and lively framing acidity giving the wine a refreshing juiciness. This youthful midweight conveys accurate varietal character and energy, finishing with firm but rather suave tannins and no rough edges. Like the Dr. Crane, this vineyard is owned by the Beckstoffer family. (14.8% alcohol) (Drink between 2020-2032). Stephen Tanzer. |

WA 98 (12/2015): An absolutely fabulous wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has an inky bluish/purple color, extraordinary nose of graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, forest floor and spring flora. The wine hits the palate with a full-bodied richness, stunning purity and an absolutely magnificent texture and length. It would be difficult to want more in a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon than this. Drink it over the next 25 years. JS 93 (1/2016): Wet earth, black currant, clove and spice aromas follow through to a full body, velvety tannins and a chewy finish. Big style but shows form and freshness. Give it a couple of year of bottle age to soften. Try in 2019. VM 92+ (10/2015): Myriad's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III is just as delicious from bottle as it was from barrel. Iron, smoke and exotic red-fleshed fruit are all pushed forward. The Georges III offers plenty of nuance and detail to balance the creamy, voluptuous fruit. Today, the 2013 is a bit closed, but that is not surprising given its recent bottling. |

JS 95 (5/2017): A full and juicy cabernet with velvety tannins and an earthy, blue-fruit undertone. Juicy and delicious. Yummy. Flamboyant. WA 94 (12/2016): There are 325 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. This is an opaque purple wine with notes of incense, charcoal embers, blueberry and blackberry fruit, a touch of subtle background oak and sweet, velvety tannin in a full-bodied, super-rich intense wine that, in short, is utterly delicious! Drink it over the next 15-20 years. JD 94 (7/2017): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is a deeper, richer example of the base Napa Valley release and offers fabulous notes of blackcurrants, graphite, charcoal and licorice. It’s a big, sexy beast of a Cabernet that has full-bodied power, a ripe, unctuous texture, and sweet tannin which are completely cover by fruit at the moment. Drink it anytime over the coming two decades. VM 94 (12/2016): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III is powerful, dense and explosive. All the richness and intensity that is typical of these wines is present, but there is also wonderful complexity and layers of flavor, with plenty of savory, earthy and mineral underpinnings. The move to incorporate five different blocks within Georges III has made a world of difference. This is a super distinctive wine from Mike Smith. It is also one of the few wines in this lineup that needs time for the tannins to soften. |

| JD 94 (8/2020): Gorgeous stuff, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley comes from a mix of the single vineyards and was aged in 50% new French oak. Showing beautifully, with lots of cassis fruit, spice, graphite, and tobacco, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, has supple, silky tannins, and a great finish. It's a beautiful, sexy wine to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years. (Drink between 2020-2035). |

Empyrean Beckstoffer Georges III Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |

JD 98 (12/2021): Even better, the 225-case 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard Empyrean is a barrel selection made by winemaker Mike Smith. It has more deep, base notes of blackcurrants, cassis, ripe tobacco, black tea, and chocolate. These all carry to a full-bodied, seamless, incredibly sexy 2019 with velvety tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It already has up-front appeal, yet I have no doubt it will evolve for 20-25 years. (Drink between 2021-2046). WA 97 (11/2021): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Empyrean is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a little coaxing to release notes of blackcurrant preserves, baked black plums and mulberries, plus underlying hints of Indian spice, fragrant earth and wild sage. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house with firm, ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness to support the muscular fruit, finishing long and earthy. VM 91 (1/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Empyrean is powerful, dense and super-concentrated. I find the oak overdone, and the wine lacking in freshness as a result of the very pushed, ripe style. (Drink between 2022-2029). Antonio Galloni. |

| WA 93 (8/2018): Coming from Spring Mountain, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has a very deep purple-black color and offers up profound crème de cassis, blueberry pie and preserved plums notes with hints of spice cake, Christmas pudding, chocolate mints and espresso plus a waft of Indian spices. The rich, bold, full-bodied palate gives a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and plenty of freshness to support the generous fruit, finishing with epic persistence. |

Steltzner Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |

|
| |
| JD 96 (7/2018): Coming all from the Martini clone and raised in 100% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard is a rich, powerful expression of Stags Leap that offers full-bodied notes of blackcurrants, espresso roast, black licorice, and just a hint of flowers. This concentrated, yet incredibly pure, Cabernet has a great mid-palate, sweet tannins, and some obvious oak to integrate. It's an extraordinary wine yet is still primordial and in need of a good 3-4 years of bottle age. 98 cases. |

VM 96 (1/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard is outrageously beautiful. Dark, vivid and sumptuous to the core, the Steltzner captures all the magic of this great Stags Leap vineyard. Crème de cassis, lavender, spice, mint and blueberry jam all come alive in the glass. This is one of the very finest wines I have ever tasted from Mike and Leah Smith. Don't miss it! (Drink between 2024-2034). Antonio Galloni. JD 95 (12/2021): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stelzner Vineyard comes from a corner block in this vineyard and offers a more black-fruited, chocolaty style that turns more floral and violet-tinged with time in the glass. More tobacco and crushed stone, full-bodied richness, good acidity, and ripe tannins all make for a brilliant, seamless, incredibly impressive wine that can be drunk today or cellared for 15+ years. (Drink between 2021-2037). WA 94+ (11/2021): Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color, delivering pronounced notes of stewed plums, boysenberry preserves and warm cassis, plus suggestions of fruitcake, tobacco leaf and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, the generous fruit is supported by chunky tannins and just enough freshness, finishing savory. |

Three Twins Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |
$149 |

| |
| WA 94 (12/2015): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Twins Vineyard emerges from a site that winemaker Mike Smith has found in Conn Valley. The wine shows a more earthy side to his brilliant winemaking skills, showing blueberry and blackberry fruit, but there is more of an underlying minerality and loamy soil, earthiness. It is full-bodied, rich, pure, and multilayered aa well as textured. It should drink well for at least 20-25 years. |

| JD 95 (12/2021): This will be the last vintage from this site, as the vineyard was lost in the fires in 2020. Deep purple-hued, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Twins Vineyard offers a beautiful perfume of cassis and blueberry-like fruits as well as candied orange, violets, and leafy herbs. Reminding me of a mountain Cabernet with its focused, nicely structured, vibrant style, it's medium to full-bodied and brings wonderful depth of fruit, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Drink it any time over the coming two decades. (Drink between 2021-2041) |
