Cerise Vyd. Pinot Noir |

VM 97 (7/2025): The 2016 Pinot Noir Cerise Vineyard is elegant and silky in the glass. Crushed red berry fruit, spice, mint, blood orange and kirsch dance across the palate. Exotic spice notes emerge with a bit of time in the glass. Beguiling and expressive, the 2016 remains quite young. It's a wine that needed a ton of time to show its true potential. Yorkville series soils over sandstone, unusual for Anderson Valley, yield such distinctive wines, especially in the tannin profile. Superb. (Drink between 2025-2035). Antonio Galloni.

VM 92 (6/2008): Medium red with an amber edge. High-toned aromas of cherry, raspberry and spice. Juicy, spicy flavors of red berries, cherry skin, rose petal and licorice. Good chewy extract here. A clean, fresh wine with considerably more grip and lift than the Savoy. Finishes broad and long, with fine tannins.

VM 90 (2/2014): Sweet red fruit, flowers, spices and mint emerge from the 2011 Pinot Noir Roman Vineyard. The 2011 is totally different in style from the 2012, which suggests this site is deeply marked by vintage, while some of the other vineyards Littorai works with have stronger markers that allow their personalities to be more evident across vintages of all styles and quality levels. Today, the 2011 Roman is attractive, but also mid-weight and a touch fragile, all of which leads me to think it will drink better sooner rather than later. (Drink between 2014-2019). Antonio Galloni.

WA 91-93 (4/2013): The 2011 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard opens with a gorgeous bouquet redolent of crushed flowers, tobacco, spices and dried herbs. A high-toned, expressive wine, the Savoy impresses for its balance and total feminine grace. This is a flat-out captivating Pinot from Ted Lemon and Littorai. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2023.

VM 93 (6/2008): Good fresh red. Very pure, perfumed aromas of raspberry, minerals and blood orange. Juicy, vibrant and precise, with red berry and mineral flavors of noteworthy finesse. In texture, this reminded me of Chambolle. Finishes juicy, sharply delineated and long. Very classy wine-and at the low end in alcohol for this collection, at 13.7%.
