VM 95 (4/2020): The 2014 Bramaterra is the product of a late harvest that required considerable thinning to ripen the crop. The resulting wine is both concentrated and vibrant. Red cherry, red plum, crushed rocks, spice and leather add aromatic nuance to a wine endowed with magnificent intensity in all of its elements. Bright acids keep the flavors vibrant. The 2014 is a magnificent expression of both Nebbiolo and Bramaterra, however, readers need to be patient, as the 2014 has shut down a bit in bottle recently. Just after bottling, it showed captivating inner perfume and striking mid-palate sweetness. I am confident those qualities will re-emerge in another few years' time. (Drink between 2022-2034). Antonio Galloni.

VM 95+ (4/2020): The 2015 Bramaterra is dark, rich and enveloping, with more body than these wines tend to show, a result of a warm growing season. Today, the aromatics are a bit muted, but that should not be a huge issue in a few years' time. The 2015 is not quite as alluring it was from barrel last year, but I expect it will show that quality once again with a bit more time in bottle. It's a gorgeous wine in the making. (Drink between 2020-2035). Antonio Galloni.

VM 95 (3/2022): The 2016 Bramaterra is fabulous. Deep and exquisitely layered, the 2016 possesses stunning depth and textural nuance to burn. Rose petal, lavender, red/purplish fruit, cedar, tobacco and licorice all build in the glass. The 2016 is a wine of power, structure and dimension. (Drink between 2024-2036). Antonio Galloni.

Costa della Sesia Al Forte |

VM 89 (3/2022): The 2017 Al Forte is open-knit and ready to go. Sweet dried cherry, tobacco, cedar, dried herbs and mint lend quite a bit of aromatic complexity and nuance throughout. Early signs of aromatic development suggest the 2017 is entering and early peak but these wines have a way of aging effortlessly for many years. nit as fresh as 2018. (Drink between 2021-2027). Antonio Galloni.
