| BH 91-93 (4/2022): This also very ripe yet avoids being over the top with its liqueur-like aromatic profile of spiced black cherry, cassis and sauvage hints. There is both excellent volume and freshness to the dense and, somewhat unusually, more refined medium weight flavors that tighten up on the youthfully austere, complex and lingering finale. |

| BH 92 (4/2014): (two-thirds of the vines are between 70 and 80 years of age and the remaining vines are approximately 20+ years old.) This is the first wine to display any significant amount of wood though it is not enough to detract from the aromas of plum, earth and spice. There is a velvety texture to the notably rich and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that also display ample minerality on the saline, dusty, intense and palate coating finish. While this isn't necessarily a good candidate for early consumption it should be approachable after 5 years or so of bottle age. Drink 2020+. Sweet Spot Outstanding! |

| VM 92-94 (1/2020): The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode 1er Cru, picked on September 1 at 13.5% potential alcohol, is tightly coiled and more backward than the Aux Gravins, ergo I expect that this will require more bottle age. There are enticing blackberry and wild strawberry fruit aromas here, but they need time. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins and a superb line of acidity that imparts a sense of energy from the start to the saline finish, which is tangy and vivacious. This is everything you really need in a La Dominode. Neal Martin. |

BH 92-94 (4/2021): A perfumed, ripe and cool nose features notes of red currant, black raspberry, violet and a hint of sandalwood. There is very fine mid-palate density with an abundance of sappy dry extract to the velvety and mouth coating flavors that flash good minerality on the powerful, balanced and hugely long finish. This is marvelous but it's also a buy and forget you own it wine. (Drink starting 2036).
JM 91-93 (6/2020): I tasted various component parts of this flagship cuvée, but here is the note on the blend, which as so often was greater than the sum of its parts. The combination gave a jaunty lively dense yet fresh red fruit, with a touch of spice seasoning the intensity of the fruit, which is supported by a firm, but entirely integrated tannic backdrop. |
