WA 94 (10/2025): All Merlot, from vines planted in 1992 on one of the highest Merlot sites in Napa, Ink Grade's 2022 Red Wine Lost Clouds is another micro-production wine, with just 94 cases. It's east-facing, providing a slightly cooler location. Red cherries and redcurrants mark the nose, joined by a hint of almost pine-needle-like terpene notes. Medium-bodied and nicely textured, this standout Merlot finishes long, with silky tannins.
VM 92 (11/2025): The 2022 Lost Clouds, 100% Merlot, emerges from an east-facing slope in one of the highest-elevation blocks on the property. Bold and racy in the glass, with plenty of structure, Lost Clouds is one of the most unique wines being made in Napa Valley today. High-toned floral notes add a distinctive, exotic flair. VM 94 (11/2025): The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is complex, dynamic and full of character. Lees-stirring builds the mid-palate in a resonant, dynamic Sauvignon Blanc that offers a beguiling mix of varietal character and structure. This is a very distinctive white. WA 91 (10/2025): Ink Grade's 2023 Sauvignon Blanc matured in a mix of concrete eggs (50%), stainless steel (25%) and French oak demi-muids and foudre (25%). The nose brings hints of crushed stone, white grapefruit and pear, while the medium-bodied palate is streamlined, focused and taut without being tough or unfriendly, finishing with ample length. |
