Euphonium Keyneton Estate |

WA 92 (8/2018): Predominantly Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon (there's some Merlot and Cabernet Franc as well), the 2014 Keyneton Euphonium is leafy and fresh, with raspberry and cassis fruit dusted with dried herbs and spices. It's medium-bodied but ripe and creamy-textured on the palate, showing great balance between intensity and detail, then slowly fading on the long, slightly dusty finish. VM 92 (12/2021): Inky ruby. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe cherry and dark berries, pipe tobacco, vanilla, cola and exotic spices. Sweet, seamless and broad in the mouth, offering intense blackcurrant, cherry preserve, fruitcake and mocha flavors that are sharpened by a suggestion of cracked pepper. The floral and vanilla notes come back strong on an impressively tenacious finish that"s framed by supple, slow-building tannins. (Drink between 2021-2030). Josh Raynolds. |

VM 94 (4/2023): The 2006 Shiraz Hill of Grace is still young and feels far from its peak. It already displays significant volume and rich aromas of primary mulberry, blackberry, clove and cedar in a riper frame that have not yet been fleshed out. The palate also remains a little closed with spicy dark berry fruits wound up in mouthcoating tannins. However, the length and balance are immaculate, suggesting it just needs time. Angus Hughson. WA 97 (4/2013): Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2006 Hill of Grace has some oak poking through the red and blue fruit aromas, with underlying toast, marmite and sage hints. Medium to full-bodied, it is a very tight knit and youthful wine with crisp acid, medium to firm, finely grained tannins and a long finish. Drink it 2014 to 2030+. |

| WA 96 (4/2013): Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2008 Hill of Grace has a slightly closed nose before giving subtle notes of ripe black cherries, blackberries and violets with hints of cedar, pepper, green tea and cumin. There's a slight raisin character on the full-bodied palate with crisp acid, dense fruit and firm, grainy tannins, finishing long. Drink it from 2017 to 2035+. |

WA 97+ (2/2014): Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the nose on the 2009 Hill of Grace is a little closed, though it reveals notes of warm black plums, blackberry coulis and cloves with subtle nuances of dried Provence herbs, forest floor and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, it possesses layers of medium to full-bodied black fruit and earth-laced flesh elegantly structured by a medium to firm level of finely grained tannins, nicely balanced acid and a long finish. Drink it now to 2026+. JS 97 (5/2017): One of the most triumphant top tier South Australian reds from the 2009 vintage, this has a layered and luxurious feel to it — a trademark array of spice and fruit characters with a lot of sage, fresh blackberry and toasty oak, some more meaty fermentation-derived notes and a graphite edge, smoky too. The palate is supple and even. Tannins have a polished sheen to them, layered and supple, great fleshy volume and drive. It is deeply ripe and the tannin structure is both subtle and profound. It resonates long, a very deep wine that's enduring, supple and fleshy with a sapid, purring finish. VM 96 (7/2014): Inky ruby. Explosive spice- and smoke-accented black and blue fruits and incense on the intensely perfumed nose. Palate-coating, very primary blackcurrant, floral pastille and fruitcake flavors reach every corner of the palate, with juicy acidity providing lift and verve. Smoothly combines power and vivacity, and finishes with Outstanding clarity and thrust, the supple tannins building slowly. I suspect that this remarkable, deeply concentrated shiraz will still be alive and kicking a couple decades from now. Josh Raynolds.viding lift and verve.
