| VM 88 (1/2020): Groth's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Oakville) is soft, pretty and understated. A sweet floral and spice character gives this gracious, mid-weight Oakville Cabernet lovely aromatic top notes. The 2016 is an attractive wine, but is also a bit light, even within this more restrained style favored by Groth. (Drink between 2019-2026). Antonio Galloni. |

VM 92 (1/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a tasty, easygoing Cabernet Sauvignon to drink now and over the next 10-15 years. Bright red/purplish berry fruit, spice and lifted floral notes lend freshness to this attractive, vibrant, mid-weight Cabernet. The 2019 is very nicely done, and is also one of the most approachable wines of the year, even though there is plenty of grip. (Drink between 2025-2027). Antonio Galloni. JD 91 (5/2022): Classic Napa Cabernet notes of red and black currants, ripe tobacco, violets, and cedary oak emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville, a medium-bodied, elegant, balanced, outstanding 2019 that’s perfect for drinking over the coming 10-12 years or so. (Drink between 2022-2034). WA 87 (9/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon features pleasant cherry-scented fruit shot through with herbal nuances on the nose, framed by notes of cedar and vanilla. It's medium-bodied and easy to drink but not very concentrated or textural, with a fluid, facile feel on the palate and a relatively short finish. |

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Lightly Bin-Soiled Label |

| WA 89 (12/1998): The luxury-priced 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve reveals a dark plum/purple color, and lavish quantities of toasty new oak in the smoky, vanillin, and cassis-scented nose. This forward, soft, medium to full-bodied wine possesses very good to excellent concentration, but the abundant wood flavors push the taster's tolerance to the limit. While this Reserve offering is undoubtedly excellent, I did not detect the depth or concentration necessary to support aging beyond a decade. |

| WA 86 (6/2000): Dark ruby/purple-colored, with scents of olives, smoke, black cherries, and charred wood, this medium to full-bodied Cabernet exhibits a smoky, earthiness to its fruit, medium to full body, good glycerin, moderate tannin, and good to excellent concentration. There is some hardness/astringency in the finish, which kept my score low. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2010. |
