Seven Springs Vyd. Pinot Noir

VM 89 (7/2014): Deep red. Spicy cherry and raspberry aromas are complemented by white pepper and fresh rose notes. Lively and focused on the palate, offering gently sweet red berry flavors and a hint of sassafras. Finishes on a subtly tannic note, with good clarity and a lingering bitter cherry note.

WA 87 (12/2014): The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast exhibits a similar dark ruby color to the Occidental Vineyard, with more light pink at the edge. Medium-bodied with pomegranate, red cherry and red currant notes in its Côte de Beaune-like style, this 2012 Pinot Noir is neither sexy nor hedonistic, but it is a well-made effort to respect more than enjoy. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
