| VM 91 (2/2018): The 2015 Echo de Lynch Bages has grown into a gorgeous second wine. Pliant, supple and inviting, the 2015 is very nicely framed by silky tannins that add considerable appeal and early approachability. There is striking purity to the red cherry and plum fruit, while lifted, floral aromatics contribute brightness. Echo is in one of the most complete, alluring second wines I tasted in 2015. Today, it is flat out delicious. Antonio Galloni. |

JS 93 (12/2019): A juicy red with plums and currants and hints of fresh herbs. Medium body. Lightly velvety with pretty fruit character at the end. A blend of 74% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot and 2% cabernet franc. Second wine of Château Lynch-Bages. Drink now or hold. JD 91 (2/2020): The 2017 Echo De Lynch-Bages offers a juicy, yet classic Cabernet Sauvignon bouquet of creme de cassis, graphite, spring flowers, sappy herbs, and hints of cedary and earth. Medium-bodied, elegant, beautifully balanced, and with fine tannins, it's ideal for drinking over the coming 10-15 years. VM 90 (3/2020): The 2017 Echo de Lynch Bages is soft, open-knit and easygoing. A rush of sweet red cherry and red plum fruit gives the 2017 its open-knit, distinctive personality. Perhaps it is a bit less expressive than it can be in top vintages, but the balance here is impeccable. Pretty floral and spice notes add an attractive element of suaveness to this lush, supple wine. Antonio Galloni. |

WA 90-92+ (4/2019): Composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc and without any new oak, the very deep purple-black colored 2018 Echo de Lynch Bages rolls seductively out of the glass with fragrant notes of candied violets, rose hip tea and fragrant soil over a core of crushed blackberries, warm blackcurrants and kirsch plus wafts of chocolate mint and crushed rocks. Full, rich, wonderfully concentrated and well structured, it has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long. VM 91-93 (5/2019): The 2018 Echo de Lynch Bages is a rich, sensual and inviting second wine. Dark cherry, pomegranate, mint, blood orange and spice infuse this racy, sumptuous second wine from Lynch Bages. Plush fruit and soft, silky contours add to the wine's immediacy and sheer appeal. This is very nicely done. Echo is 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Antonio Galloni. JD 93-95 (5/2019): The 2018 Echo De Lynch-Bages is the second wine of Lynch Bages and is 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc brought up all in once-used barrels. Cassis, graphite, lead pencil, and graphite notes all emerge from this deep, shockingly concentrated wine that has full-bodied richness, ripe, present tannins, and a great finish. The stats on this second wine are telling, and it’s 13.9% alcohol, 3.57 pH, and an IPT of 87. It's one serious, blockbuster-styled second wine that shows how successful some of the second wines in the vintage are. JS 93-94 (4/2019): Very layered and dense second wine of Lynch this year. Medium to full body, juicy fruit and polished and chewy tannins. Will need time. |

| VM 90 (2/2022): The 2019 Echo de Lynch-Bages, matured in one-year-old barrels for 12 months, has a crisp blackberry, briar and cedar bouquet with touches of mint, quite vibrant and lively. The medium-bodied palate offers succulent tannins and mulberry and black plum flavors intermingling with black truffle and white pepper. Maybe just a little abrupt on the finish at the moment, but that will fill out in time. NEal Martin. |

JD 91-93 (4/2026): A classic, chewy Pauillac that has plenty of personality, the 2025 Echo De Lynch-Bages reveals black currants, smoky tobacco, scorched earth, and graphite on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's rich, concentrated, and has the classic Lynch-Bages power and richness. VM 91-93 (4/2026): The 2025 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a pretty serious second wine that is going to need a number of years to soften. Quite frankly, I don't think I have ever tasted an Echo with this much power and overall structure. Dark-fleshed fruit, gravel, incense, licorice and scorched earth convey gravitas. There's a lot of wine here, but patience is required. Antonio Galloni. WA 90-91 (4/2026): The 2025 Echo de Lynch-Bages reveals aromas of vanilla, spices, creamy new oak and dark berries. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and concentrated, it’s built around a solid chassis of firm, youthful tannins, concluding with a long, spicy finish. It's a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, matured with 20% new oak. JA 94 (4/2026): Deep and rich in colour. Structured, toasted spice, dark chocolate, espresso, graphite, mint leaf. Great stuff, easy to recommend, one to look out for. 3.60 pH. 20% new oak. Harvest September 9 to 21. A far clearer link with the main Lynch Bages estate than many 2nd wines in the vintage, and one of the 'sibling' wines of the vintage. Nicolas Labenne technical director. |
