| VM 95 (2/2015): Inky ruby. Deeply pitched black and blue fruit aromas are complicated and enlivened by notes of white pepper, allspice and smoky minerals, with a suave floral nuance slowly emerging. Broad, seamless and alluringly sweet, offering palate-coating boysenberry and violet pastille flavors and suggestions of spicecake and cola. Clings with superb tenacity and focus on the floral finish, which is framed by silky, even tannins. Josh Raynolds. |

| JD 91 (2/2010): The 2006 Thierry Allemand Cornas Chaillot is missing the elegance and detail of the ’06 Reynard and is more meaty, rich and rustic. On the nose, the wine displays plenty of ripe, licorice infused dark fruit, saddle leather and garrigue aromas. These carry over onto the full bodied palate marked by a fat, mouth filling texture as well as ripe, rustic tannins on the finish. While I didn’t taste the ’99 Chaillot on release, I struggle to think this could ever match that wine with it too is at age 10. I’d opt for drink these over the next 8 to 10 years. |

| VM 91-93 (2/2010): Bright purple. Pungent, expressive aromas of blackberry, cracked pepper, Asian spices, graphite and tobacco. Spherical and silky, with fine-grained tannins framing the sweet dark berry and spice flavors. A sexy floral note comes up with air and carries through the long, juicy, impressively pure finish. This fat-free wine impresses more with elegance than power. |

| VM 94-96 (4/2017): (made with no new oak): Bright violet color. Mineral- and spice-accented cherry, black raspberry, incense and violet on the intensely perfumed nose. Deeply concentrated but lively as well, offering palate-staining dark berry preserve, spicecake, floral pastille and olive flavors that spread out steadily on the back half. Blends power and vivacity with a deft hand and finishes sweet and extremely long, with silky tannins folding quickly into the wine's juicy, focused dark fruit. Josh Raynolds. |

| VM 96 (2/2015): Vivid purple. Deeply pitched black and blue fruit aromas are complicated by candied violet, smoky minerals, incense and licorice. Broad, fleshy and concentrated, offering palate-staining, deeply concentrated cherry, boysenberry and floral pastille flavors accented by Indian spices and minerals. Rich and fleshy but surprisingly lithe, finishing with superb clarity and length and fine-grained tannins that sneak in late. This is one of the great wines of this vintage and a must-buy for fans of Allemand, Cornas, Syrah, or just wine in general. Josh Raynolds. |

| VM 95 (3/2016): Saturated ruby. Candied black and blue fruits, potpourri, cola and smoky minerals on the explosively perfumed, sharply focused nose. Stains the palate with intense, deeply concentrated blackberry, boysenberry and floral pastille flavors, gaining weight and spiciness with aeration.
