The sleeker if perhaps not quite as dense medium weight flavors possess an even finer texture while flashing focused power on the balanced and sneaky long finish. Once again, better depth would help but this beauty seems to have solid development potential. Drink 2031+. |

| BH 91-94 (10/2023): A more elegant, airier and more floral-suffused nose combines notes of spiced pear and enough Chablis elements to be more than just interesting. The refined, delicious and caressing middleweight flavors possess very good punch on the firm, balanced, moderately dry and bitter lemon-inflected finish. This markedly stony effort is also quite good and worth considering. Drink 2030+. |

| VM 90-92 (9/2023): The 2022 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru comes from two parcels (Vaillons and Roncières). It has a very aromatic floral bouquet with mirabelle, jasmine and orchard fruit, with a hint of nougat in the background. Very fine delineation. The palate is taut and crisp on the entry, slightly waxy in texture, and maybe even a little petrol-y in style. It has good depth and crisp acidity but shuts down somewhat towards the finish.
