JD 90-92 (4/2026): A big, rich Pessac-Léognan, the 2025 Château Olivier is based on 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot that's being raised 12 months in 30% new oak. Its deep purple hue is followed by a gorgeous bouquet of cassis, darker raspberries, spicy wood, and smoky aromatics. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has notable purity and solid length on the finish. Checking in at 13.45% alcohol with a pH of 3.5, it's another ripe, forward, yet still nicely structured wine from this region in 2025 that has plenty to love. VM 89-91 (4/2026): The 2025 Olivier is a potent, brooding wine. Blackberry, chocolate, new leather, licorice and cloves lend tons of intensity. The edges are starting to fray a bit, but that might be the sample. Antonio Galloni. JA 93 (4/2026): A ton of grip and inky salinity, spiced cumin, cedar, cloves, blueberry and black cherry, incense, cassis and bilberry. Laurent Lebrun director. Certified organic since 2024, 30 hl/ha. 3.50pH, Harvest September 3 to 18, 35% new oak, with wine globes 5% of the final blend. |

VM 89-91 (5/2021): The 2020 Olivier Blanc, matured in 35% new oak barrels, has a clean, well-defined nose of white flowers and honeysuckle, almond and subtle patisserie scents coming through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with lime and orange zest on the entry and fine acidity. Maybe just missing a little tension on the finish, but it should give several years of drinking pleasure. Neal Martin. JS 93-94 (4/2021): A solid center palate of green apples and lemons with some stones. Full-bodied and layered with beautiful fruit and length. Tangy at the end. |

JD 90 (4/2026): A Sauvignon Blanc-dominant blend of 82% Sauvignon Blanc and 18% Sémillon that's being raised eight months in 25% new barrels and demi-muids, the 2025 Château Olivier Blanc offers ripe orchard fruits, sliced apple, and mint on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate, it's nicely balanced and juicy, with clean acidity and outstanding length. Checking in at 13.9% alcohol with a pH of 3.09, it's an elegant, well-made Pessac-Léognan blanc in the making. Drink 2026-2028. VM 90-92 (4/2026): The 2025 Olivier Blanc is intriguing. Light on its feet but with very fine depth, the 2025 has much to offer. White pear, lemon oil, chalk mint and white pepper are finely sculpted in this tasty dry white. Antonio Galloni. JA 94 (4/2026): White peach and pear, super juicy with clarity, lift and expansion. A delicous white wine, with a ripe orchard pear, where you get texture as well as juice, creamy and moreish, great stuff. 8ha of grapes, 25 years old on average. Harvest August 19 to 26. Yield 26 hl/ha. 3.09 pH. Bertmann family, Laurent Lebrun director. |
