WA 94 (12/2023): The 2021 Grenache Bien Nacido Vineyard is expressive and alluring. It has pretty scents of strawberry and raspberry jam with nuances of rooibos tea, blood orange, licorice and dusty earth. The medium-bodied palate is chalky and super fresh, with gregarious, perfumed fruit and a long, nuanced finish.
VM 94 (9/2023): The 2021 Grenache is another superb wine in this tasting. Rich, heady and pliant, with terrific depth, the Grenache is seriously impressive. Dark red/purplish fruit, blood orange, pomegranate, spice and new leather are all dialed up. The 15% whole clusters are buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. Aging in 500-liter barrels works so well here. (Drink between 2023-2029). Antonio Galloni. |
