JD 92 (1/2019): The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Reserve is all Cabernet Sauvignon from a site in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. It’s a deeply colored Cabernet offering a sweet bouquet of blackberries, cassis, tobacco, and leafy herbs. These carry over to the palate, where the wine is full-bodied, voluptuously styled and sweetly fruited, with outstanding purity and length. Made in a forward, sexy style, it's already impossible to resist, so I see no need to delay gratification. (Drink between 2019-2029).
WA 86 (10/2018): Deep purple-black, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Reserve is a little closed to begin, opening out to youthful cassis and black cherry scents with touches of cigar box and fragrant soil. Full-bodied with mouth-filling black fruits, the frame is a little chewy and it finishes a little bitter. |
