VM 91-93 (5/2021): The 2020 Clos Rene is compelling from the very first taste. A burst of ripe dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, chocolate and lavender gives the 2020 so much allure, while soft curves and silky tannins add to its immeasurable appeal. Expressive, but most importantly, flat-out delicious. Antonio Galloni.
JD 92-94 (5/2021): The 2020 Clos Rene showed beautifully, with a pure, elegant style offering lots of cassis and black cherry fruits as well as notes of Christmas spice, flowers, and cedar. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe, present tannins, it's very much in the style of this ripe yet fresh, lively vintage.
JS 91-92 (4/2021): A firm, silky red with blackberry character and hints of dark chocolate. It’s medium-bodied with polish and finesse. |
