	Decanter 96 (11/2018): Youthful by the standards of some of Christophe Roumier's vineyards, this 0.276ha parcel was replanted in three tranches in 1991, 2000 and 2011. It's every bit as charming as its name in 2017: floral, appealing and sweet, with some underlying salinity, 50% whole bunches and 40% new wood. (Drink between 2024-2030).

	VM 96+ (3/2016): Very dark bright red. Great purity and lift to the aromas of black cherry, violet, graphite, bitter chocolate and minerals. Showing less obvious density today than the Bonnes-Mares but this is extremely tight and unevolved, with its saline crushed stone and mineral elements currently dominating its underlying fruit. The yield was just 20 hectoliters per hectare, due in large part to millerandage, but this extremely imploded Musigny is showing little of the early sweetness one might expect from tiny berries. Finishes with outstanding flavor authority, length and grip. This wine should go on for decades. Stephen Tanzer.   BH 96 (1/2016): (from an incredible 6.46 ha parcel, which doesn't include the .67 ha parcel planted to chardonnay.) This is also quite aromatically restrained with its cool, airy and extraordinarily complex nose that features notes of red raspberry, black cherry, violet, rose petal, Asian-style spices, in particular cinnamon and anise plus a hint of orange pekoe tea. There is superb concentration to the intensely stony and well-delineated broad-shouldered flavors that also brim with palate soaking dry extract that helps to buffer that imposingly powerful, tautly muscular and massively long and youthfully austere finish. This is breathtaking in just how much power and intensity it packs yet there isn't a hair out of place. In a word, 'wow'! Drink 2033+.

	BH 90 (1/2024): A gorgeously elegant and perfumed nose is comprised by the pure essence of red cherries laced with spice, green tea and earth nuances plus a floral top note. The equally pure, lacy and attractively tension-filled middleweight flavors possess a sophisticated mouthfeel thanks to the fine-grained tannins shaping the punchy and youthfully austere if slightly short finale. This may well better harmonize but at present, it's not quite as well-balanced as the best in the range. (Drink starting 2031).

	WA 95 (6/2018): This wine was made in 2011 and 2012 but not in 2013. The 2014 Barolo Falletto (white label) is fascinating to taste right after the Barbaresco Riserva Asili from the same vintage. There is no doubting the extra muscle mass and power that is obtained in the Barolo appellation, and from the Serralunga d’Alba township specifically. This dramatic Barolo delivers darkness and density. It shows a beautiful appearance with faint highlights of dark ruby that add a subtle sparkle. At this point in its drinking cycle, the wine shows all the characteristic traits of its youth. This means it is more closed and rigid at present. That nervous tightness needs to be factored in when assessing the cellar longevity of this vintage. Hints of the wine’s inner complexity, sheer determination and textural fortitude are already bubbling up from deep inside this firmly layered Nebbiolo. I wanted to mention the tightness of the tannins now. These will undoubtedly serve to carry this wine forward over the coming decades.

	WA 96+ (7/2020): Opening to rich darkness and intensity, the 2016 Barolo Acclivi shows vibrant energy. This wine represents a blend of fruit from across various vineyard sites, including old vines in Monvigliero, Neirane and Rocche dell’Olmo. The wine shows dark fruit, smoked bacon, the same pepper spices we got with the Pelaverga and crushed flowers. The wine shows stems and bramble, although they are not green or astringent. A better descriptor would be spice, cinnamon and unripe cherry.   VM 96 (6/2023): Burlotto’s 2016 Barolo Acclivi, from vineyards in Verduno, offers a captivating mix of rose petal, cinnamon, lavender and blue/purplish fruit. The aromatics alone are beguiling for their exotic complexity, but everything about the 2016 is so appealing. Although a young wine with plenty of life ahead, the 2016 Acclivi is absolutely exquisite right now. Antonio Galloni.
