BH 89-92 (4/2020): A very ripe, indeed slightly jammy, combination reveals plenty of floral elements on the liqueur-like aromas of roasted plum, black cherry and a hint of game. There is fine volume to the delicious middle weight plus flavors that possess a caressing mid-palate that once again contrasts significantly with the powerful, firm, warm and serious finish that is also somewhat grippy though not really short. Drink 2033+. |

BH 92-94 (4/2021): Like the Echézeaux, this is firmly reduced but clearly ripe. I very much like the seductive and expansive texture of the larger-scaled and powerful flavors that are supported by remarkably fine tannins on the firm, equally compact and built-to-age finale. Most of the wines in the range display only vestiges of the whole cluster vinification, though here it's quite evident. This too is lovely stuff, but I would advise not touching a bottle for at least 10 years. Drink 2036+. |

BH 88 (4/2020): (from 6 different lieux-dits.) A more deeply pitched and definitely more sauvage-inflected dark berry fruit nose is also quite floral in character. The generously proportioned, pliant and velvet-texture medium-bodied flavors terminate in mildly grippy and short finish. I suspect that this will better harmonize with a few years in bottle. Drink 2026+. |

BH 88 (4/2021): (from 6 different lieux-dits.) A ripe nose features notes of red raspberry, black cherry and earth. The exceptionally rich middle weight flavors possess a velvety, round and textured mouthfeel that terminates in a youthfully austere and reasonably long finale. This needs more depth but may well develop it if allowed a few years of bottle aging. Drink 2026+. |

BH 88-91 (4/2020): An attractively spicy nose features overtly floral aromas of earthy red and dark cherry along with poached plum hints. The velvety and delicious medium weight flavors possess solid mid-palate density, all wrapped in a sneaky long and youthfully austere finale. Drink 2026+. |

BH 90-92 (4/2021): Equally ripe aromas feature red and purple fruit, earth and an appealing range of spice elements. There is fine underlying tension to the sleekly textured and well-detailed medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a balanced if decidedly linear bitter pit fruit inflected finish. A few years of aging should be beneficial in order to add some flesh to what is a slightly lean backend. Drink 2029+. |

BH 88-91 (4/2021): (from Les Trois Follots, Les Vaumuriens, Rugiens-Hauts villages and La Vache.) Ripe and very fresh aromas blend notes of red and dark pinot fruit with those of violet and cool earth. There is outstanding intensity to the rather refined medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere finish that also could use a bit more depth to achieve the upper end of my projected range. Drink 2027+. |

BH 90-93 (4/2021): Ripe and agreeably fresh aromas are broad ranging with notes of strawberry, raspberry, plum and warm earth. The acceptably concentrated but muscular flavors possess evident power that builds from the mid-palate on the focused, serious and youthfully austere finale. This is quite promising, but patience will be required. Drink 2031+. Outstanding! |

BH 88 (6/2023): A markedly different aromatic profile is comprised by notes of quinine, iodine, lemon zest and just enough classic Chablis character to be convincing. The racy and delicious medium weight flavors exude more evident minerality on the clean and dry if not especially complex finale. This delicious effort could also be enjoyed on the younger side if preferred. Drink 2026+. |

WS 95 (5/2021): Butterscotch, almond, pear, lemon and spice aromas and flavors mark this dense, tightly wound white. It's balanced, expressing a mineral note on the long, bracing finish. Best from 2024 through 2035. 144 cases made, 15 cases imported. BH 92 (6/2020): ( from Pernand fruit.) Cool and restrained aromas are comprised by aromas of green apple, mineral reduction, airy floral and an interesting hint of tangerine peel. There is both good volume and intensity to the beautifully delineated and overtly mineral-driven flavors that possess riper acidity on the balanced citrus-tinged finale. This needs to develop more depth but the potential aging curve is such that it should develop in time. Drink 2028+. |

BH 88 (6/2023): There is a touch of the exotic present on the petrol, pineapple and white orchard fruit-scented nose. There is at once good vibrancy and solid density to the powerful, clean and dry finale that is borderline tannic. This mildly rustic effort could be enjoyed on the younger side or aged over the mid-term. Drink 2026+. |

BH 88 (6/2021): (from Le Tesson, Grands Charrons and Le Limozin.) Here too there is a whiff of residual secondary fermentation character on the citrusy green apple aromas that are again trimmed in very subtle oak hints. The caressing, round and punchy medium weight flavors contrast somewhat with the almost tannic bitter lemon inflected finish. Drink 2025+. |

BH 89 (6/2022): (from Le Trézin, Noyer Bret and Petit Nosroyes.) There is a touch of phenolic character to the pretty floral scented nose of petrol, pear and soft citrus whiffs. I very much like the texture of the caressing and delicious medium weight flavors that conclude in a moderately firm and youthfully austere finale. This quality effort could use a few years of forbearance to add depth and more completely unwind. Drink 2026+. Outstanding! |
