| WA 90 (2/2011): Informed by fruit from some moderately steep slopes in the Fruhlingsplatzchen and Halenberg as well from the cool Rosenberg behind the village, the Schonlebers’ 2009 Riesling trocken Mineral manages to maintain a delightful sense of buoyancy even at 12.5% alcohol. This displays a deep sense of salinity one often associates with quartzite-rich sites, and which here threads its way invigoratingly and saliva-inducingly through a stream of lemon, grapefruit, white peach, and red berries. Cooling high-toned suggestions of mint and oregano add to the sense of refreshment in this long-finishing Riesling that ought to perform well for at least the next 4-5 years. |

| JS 97 (9/2021): A breathtaking wine that has all the mineral depth and concentration you associate with a Grand Cru, but also a wide spectrum of very fine citrus and berry aromas. Then it splash lands in an explosion of fresh-herb aromas. Drink or hold. |

| VM 93-95 (9/2023): The 2022 Riesling Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen Grosses Gewächs opens with a sunny, friendly creaminess, and a slight overtone of mango sets an accent. The palate is serene, bright, absolutely focused on lemon and a little lemony pith, but with a luminous, slender creaminess. The textural aspect holds spice, which is not apparent yet but will reveal itself. It also gives structure to this light, bright, filigree wine. Subtle length extends that lovely, gentle pithiness. Anne Krebiehl. |

WA 97 (12/2022): Werner Schönleber served the 2021 Frühlingsplätzchen GG after the Halenberg, which has never been the case here in 20 years, but knowing Werner's passion for the purity and freshness of this terroir, this makes completely sense. I remember I liked the 2019 Frühlingsplätzchen better than the Halenberg when it was young, and also from the 2021 vintage I adore the purity, brightness and flinty finesse of the Frühlingsplätzchen which is definitely the brighter, uplifted and purer Riesling. The finish is enormously salty and savory and reveals lemon fruit bitters on the aftertaste. This is life from stone, and it has a damn serious, very long and saline finish. Natural cork. 12% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022. JS 95 (7/2022): Complex nose of pink and yellow grapefruit, peach and spring flowers. A super-elegant, dry Nahe riesling that marries plenty of juicy fruit with excellent concentration and vibrant minerality that leaps out at you. A slew of wild-berry and rose-hip character adds to the excitement at the dangerously crisp, wet-stone finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. |

JS 96 (11/2017): Still slightly closed this is a very complex mineral wine with a wealth of wild herb and berry nuances. Massive depth and freshness, too. The finish is long and seriously powerful. Drink now and for many years to come. WA 93+ (2/2018): The 2016 Nahe Riesling Frühlingsplätzchen "GG" is pure, intense and flinty on the nose—very precise and perfectly ripe with coolish, tropical Riesling aromas. Fermented and aged in stück and doppelstück, it is a full-bodied, intense and slightly creamy-textured Frühlingsplätzchen with lots of power and potential. Perfectly round and juicy, this is a very elegant and complex Riesling with a persistent finish. VM 93 (4/2018): Even more effusively floral than its Frühtau counterpart, this offers iris, violets and lily-of-the-valley. There are aromatic intimations of the luscious white peach, brightly juicy fresh lime and ashen, wet stone accents that then feature prominently on a silken palate. For now at least, there is marginally less delicacy, dynamism or lift here than in the Frühtau, but what a sense of carpeting and grip this wine’s finish represents! It should be fascinating to follow and to see whether, as is certainly intended, it gradually pulls ahead of its ostensibly lesser sibling. David Schildknecht. |

| WA 95 (12/2016): Picked on two days in late October, the 2015 Riesling Monzinger Halenberg Auslese is very clear and fresh on the precise, very well defined nose where pineapple, almond cake, flinty and herbal aromas are displayed. The precision is repeated on the palate, which is crystalline but also creamy due to the lush, ripe and bright fruit. The wine displays great finesse and lingering salinity, which is so typical for the Halenberg. This is a delicious, really stimulating Auslese. Total production: 600 liters. |

| WA 90 (12/2016): The 2015 Riesling Monzinger Kabinett is very clear, ripe and spicy on the nose, but it's also piquant in its stoniness. On the palate, it has lovely elegance, finesse and purity, and the 42 grams of residual sugar are perfectly integrated. The finish is stimulatingly light and salty. This is a picture book Kabinett. |

| WA 93+ (12/2016): The 2015 Riesling Monzinger Halenberg Spätlese is clear, ripe and intense on the nose, intermixing its ripe Riesling, pineapple and lemon flavors with the coolish smokiness of the Halenberg terroir. This is a gorgeous, mouth-filling, round, complex and densely woven Riesling with great mineral grip and lingering salinity. A great Halenberg with aging potential that should be enormous. |
