VM 96 (9/2013): The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino from Fuligni was a littler juicier, richer and rounder than the Costanti. Few producers do a better job of bridging modern and traditional styles than Fuligni. What a beautiful wine. Antonio Galloni. JS 96 (1/2011): Sweet flowers, with blueberries and blackberries on the nose. Toffee and creme brulee. So complex and subtle with everyth ing there. Full and very velvety with soft and silky tannins and a long, long finish. Beautiful polish to this wine. Best after 2013. |

| VM 96 (4/2020): Fuligni's 2015 Brunello di Montalcino is dark and alluring, pulling me closer to the glass with each swirl, as a mix of ripe black cherry, rosemary, smoke, and moist earth lift from the glass, with sweet florals and a bit of animal musk developing over time. On the palate, it glides across the senses like silk, with ripe dark red fruits paving the way for sweet spice, as saline-minerals slowly saturate in a display that was perfectly balanced and not missing a single step. The finish is long, showing the first notes of tannic heft, with dried red fruits and minerals. The 2015 Fuligni Brunello balances its beautifully ripe fruit with classic tannins and a truly gorgeous perfumed character. It’s sure to have a lot of fans, and as it youthfully closes up in the glass. I can imagine a long life ahead for it. Eric Guido. |

| VM 96 (12/2023): Dusty and floral, the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a perfumed blend of dried roses, cherries, mint and lavender candies. It’s elegant and seamlessly silky on the palate, enveloping the senses with ripe red berry fruits contrasted by a bitter clove tinge. A core of brisk acidity maintains a lovely balance as a web of fine tannins saturates the palate, and a pleasantly chewy sensation remains. The 2019 is classic to the core. Eric Guido. |

JD 97 (1/2025): A bright red color with orange highlights, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino is very pretty, with a delicate rustic hint that I find quite attractive. It reveals attractive red fruit on the nose, with notes of cranberries, wild herbs, and just a subtle hint of saddle leather and blood orange. Mid-weight, it’s light on its feet while delivering wonderful energy and freshness, with snappy ripe red fruit, a refreshing, angular feel, and mouthwatering saline and acidity. This is certainly one of the highlights of the 2020 vintage. Drink 2025-2040. Audrey Frick. VM 95 (11/2024): Rich and exuberant in the glass, the 2020 Brunello di Montalcino bursts with autumnal spices, crushed raspberries, shaved cedar and dusty rose. It impresses further with a core of ripe red berry fruits that saturate deeply, displaying a pleasant inner sweetness offset by a salty core of minerality. The 2020 leaves the palate drenched in primary concentration with a tart cranberry, licorice resonance and grippy tannins, all while maintaining a remarkably fresh persona. The 2020 has a large-scale feel with expertly maintained balance. (Drink between 2027-2038). Eric Guido. WA 94+ (11/2024): Here is another very elegant expression from a sunny vintage that successfully hones in on a bright, fruit-forward drinking style. The Fuligni 2020 Brunello di Montalcino shows dark fruit aromas, spruce pine cone, wildflowers and light spice. It wraps smoothly over the palate with an elegant, mid-weight texture. |

VM 97 (11/2024): The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a seductress, containing an array of cinnamon, clove, allspice, black cherry and hints of bay. It sweeps across the palate with a radiant and classic feel, with vividly ripe red fruits and sweet spices perfectly guided by a core of brilliant acidity. Its minerality comes through in the finish, tactile and saline in form. A web of fine-grained tannins wrap the senses with youthful poise, nuances of cedar and inner rose. The 2019 is spellbinding and built for the cellar. What a beauty. (Drink between 2028-2046). Eric Guido. WA 95 (11/2024): Fuligni's 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva reveals a sultry and savory side with medium-grained tannins and extra textural buffering that surrounds a core of dark blackberry fruit. The alcohol content is high at 15%, but this full-bodied vintage does a very good job of covering up those excesses. This Riserva closes with hints of root beer and sauna wood. |

VM 92 (10/2019): The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto shows all the natural translucence that makes Sangiovese so alluring. Sweet tobacco, mint, red cherry, orange peel and spice are finely delineated in a vibrant, mid-weight wine that pulses with energy. There is so much to like. This is pure and total class. Antonio Galloni. JS 91 (7/2018): This shows a distinctive and lifted candied tangerine edge, as well as blueberry peel and sour cherries. The palate’s very tight with edgy acidity, showing firm tannins and a bright finish. Not the richest of wines, but very endearing. Drink now. WA 90+ (7/2019): The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto is a delightful wine with a bright ruby appearance followed by fresh fruit flavors. The wine offers wild berry, violets, lilacs and fragrant aromas of moist potting soil. A lasting sense of intensity and freshness drives this wine clean over the palate. It would pair nicely with any cheese-heavy dish such as pasta or lasagna. |
