VM 98 (11/2018): As it often is, the Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée (Pinot Blanc) is the most complete of these Champagnes, and that is saying a lot this year. Quite simply, the 2014 Bolorée is an utterly mesmerizing Champagne. A kaleidoscope of aromas, flavors and textures takes over the senses. Extravagant in its beauty, the Bolorée will thrill readers lucky enough to find it. In tasting, the Bolorée offers a level of richness that recalls Pinot, but with the brightness and focus of Pinot Blanc. Non-dosé. Disgorged: April 2018. Antonio Galloni. JD 96 (2/2019): My favorite of the trio from Bouchard, the brilliant 2014 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée (100% Pinot Blanc) is a rich, powerful effort that stays racy and exotic. Beautiful notes of toasted hazelnuts, brioche, and honeyed stone fruits all emerge from this deep, concentrated, yet racy Champagne that does everything right. Readers should snatch up this beauty, which should continue drinking beautifully for another decade or more. |

VM 94 (11/2020): The 2013 Blanc de Noirs Côte de Bechalin La Parcelle is fabulous. Candied lemon peel, almond, mint, sage and baked apple tart are some of the many notes that open in the glass. There is a sense of energy to the 2013 that is so beguiling. Eighty months on the lees give the Parcelle quite a bit of depth, but also the freshness that develops with extended time in the cellar. Zero dosage. Disgorged: April, 2020. Antonio Galloni. |

VM 96 (11/2018): The 2014 Blanc de Noirs Ursules will leave readers searching for superlatives. It is every bit that good. Cut, precision and focus are the signatures. Creamy and resonant on the palate, the Ursules offers a dazzling expression of Pinot Noir. Next to the Presle, the Ursules carries a bit more weight and overall structure. in this tasting, it is a total knock-out. Non-dosé. Disgorged: April 2018. Antonio Galloni. |

VM 92 (11/2020): The NV (2018) Blanc de Noirs Val Vilaine is bright, fresh and wonderfully nuanced. Orchard fruit, citrus and floral notes give the Val Vilaine so much energy. Cédric Bouchard coaxes so much nuance from these 40 year-old vines. The Val Vilaine is always the youngest wine in the range - the current release is the 2018, which spent just 15 months on its lees - but it will give readers who aren't familiar with these wines a very good idea of the house style. Zero dosage. Antonio Galloni. |
